tough-4 candidates per position, rediculously large territories, abusive posture and arrogant stance on behalf of interviewers-don't seem to have much pull with J&J or influence-no respect for candidate credentials, not a fit for me

interviewed yesterday. pretty standard pharma interview. here's some scoop:

top 2 candidates will be sent on to interview w/ janssen dms in early december.
want reps in place by dec 12.
homestudy begins dec 27th. 4 weeks at home/1 week away (jan 23-27).
jan. 30th first day in field.

in my area, territory was huge. was told janssen wants reps with relationships w/ cards in current geography.

good luck, everyone...

Interviewed today, very similar. Interviewer very professional and personable. Very impressed with business model, seems to be true specialty. Said there were 6 candidates interviewing for this position. Said he hoped to be able to tell me something by Thanksgiving about moving forward or not.

Regarding Janssen wanting reps with relationships w/ cards in current geography, there is no way that is going to happen in these huge territories. Yes, maybe a rep will know some cards in parts of one of these territories, but they are so big, I doubt any rep will have covered all or even most of one of them.

I have this stupid interview next week for the xarelto contract. I'd rather have a tooth pulled...but need the work...so, I'll play the game. Is it all STAR questions? Any insight...I need this stupid job?

Actually, I was astounded at mine, in that there was not one STAR type question. Very informal and conversational interview about my past experience, training, and skills, calling on cards, etc. I guess it depends on the interviewer.
