Have any of you asked physicians about Oleptro? I spent the last the last 4 days in the field asking my drs. about this and they can't believe someone would make a once daily trazodone. I mean I have never heard more negative comments about a drug in my life! I seriously told the last 33 drs that I called on about this product and ALL of them completely hated the idea of it. Some were psychs, some where PC but they all said the same thing: What a terrible idea! I am really getting scared because I have another interview tomorrow and I don't want to be stuck with a dog of a drug.

Anyone else talked to drs. about it? Maybe it is just drs in the south that feel this way...(I am in the Southeast, but I don't want to give up more info in case my new manager is the kind of guy that gets on CP)

Same stuff here. One of my docs said if it is between this and selling nothing... choose nothing.

One thing to remember is that just like other contracts, Oleptro may not be the only drug you end up selling (remember Humalog then they added Cialis & Byetta?). It will be your only product to start but if you look at their website, they have several other drugs in the pipeline that work with their time release formulation so its definitely possible more could be on the way.

I'm definitely not saying it will be an easy sell but having a job again is a good thing and having a job selling in psych speciality is a good gig, esp for contract sales.

Don't promise things you can't deliver Dona. I have my family to take care of here. Speculation like this is not right. I am going to get my offer tomorrow and then start looking for a real job. I already hate selling Oleptro

Jesus buddy, buy a clue somewhere! Either your doctors answered the question you posed based on an uneducated description of Oleptro that YOU provided, which was undoubtedly as naive as your post, or they simply have not had the opportunity to review any of the articles written by the likes of national thought leaders and respected psychiatrists such as Steven Stahl or Norman Sussman.

Sorry, I find it extremely difficult to believe you have a second interview for this project as it's as clear as day that you have no idea or knowledge of the drug that's about to be launched. I wish nothing bad for you personally, but I honestly hope you aren't offered a spot on this sales force, as you obviously don't have the background to contribute to it's bottom line. If you are interviewing, god help you when you get to the Labopharm point in the interview process. You'd be eaten alive by the end of the first question.

You're getting your offer tomorrow? Sorry, my friend, you're tryin to sell dreams but you've been caught in a lie. The first group of reps to reach the point of interviewing with Labopharm haven't been there yet! Yeah, I know the date they're going. Nice try, but you just got busted!

IF YOU HAVE A JOB NOW MAKE SURE YOU ASK PHYSICIANS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT BEFORE YOU SIGN ON FOR THIS. IF YOU DON'T, THEN IT MAY BE BETTER THAN NOTHING!

Of course it is going to be a tough drug to promote! If you can't handle it then don't take the job. I for one will be glad to get the job if I get picked. I haven't had a job in a while so it will be great to get a paycheck. (I did ask my docs about it and they did have the same reaction, but I think we will be able to convince them to try it anyways) If it is too hard to sell, then at least I will get paid while I look for soem other job. some of you people are too ungreatful!

Actually there were interviews with Labopharm this week. Your area of the country depends on the time frame.

Look. I am a psychiatrist and I have been practicing for over 20 years. A rep friend of mine told me about this drug and I can't believe you are going to try to push this med. If one of your reps comes into my office with this, he will regret it. Trials for drugs like this are not done in the real world. People will fall asleep while driving and hurt others. There is no way that the delivery system is going to make a damn bit of difference with this. I know you think that your paid for "thought leaders" really believe in this drug, but they are just doing it for the paycheck. No one needs a once daily trazodone. NO ONE!

Yes of course, you're so believable. Go back to your mom's basement and get over the fact you didn't perform well enough on your last contract to land an interview for this.

I haven't heard anything! I can't believe I went on two interviews for this stupid job and they can't give me the respect of calling me back. Just a two second phone call would be nice C.C. ! Do you guys want to make enemies? I am goign to be doing everything I can to make sure my drs know about Oversleptro just because yuo guys treated me like this. Just return our phone calls!!! I didn't really want to sell 24 hour Ambien anyways!
