How to destroy field medical

This meeting is a joke, Bea is a joke, the leaders she's put in place are also a joke, the last hour and half has been a joke ... the MEDs that barely did their actual job are now our leaders, I know numerous MSLs that applied for leadership roles who have been working towards these roles for years and have applied time and time again only for Bea and her regime to select MEDs to lead the MSLs it's laughable- we now have to sit here and pretend to excited about this BS and of all the MSLs you decide to go with Greg really???? Best Field Medical 2027 here we come yayyyyyyy!!! March 15th can't come soon enough.

And the meeting has just begun. Pucker up, watch the ‘networking’ and start drinking early.

Only way to survive this week keep drinking till any of this starts making sense. Bea is def on her way out, heard she's already in the talks to get back to Spain. She came and did what she needed to do time to bounce. Adios.

What’s it gonna take for field medical to be purged of the right people I mean another mtg and only about 5%of content useful. It’s like you guys planned the content over the last week. Bea you are a year in and still showing up like a weak leader you can’t connect with the team to save your life. Who the hell is planning them Erin, Trenelle and Silja?

This had to be the worst meeting in the last decade. Horrible leaders, terrible content, this year is going to be bad the MED takeover is real and Bea has no idea what she's doing - take your work visa and head back to Europe.

They sure do here at Genentech and barely lift a finger doing it, seems like they have it figured out. Time for the MSLs to start to behave the same Do LESS! It's not rocket science ppl.
Tenured MSLS and any MCLS that might still be around in different roles know this to be true......

MEDs have been a joke since the role was created a few years ago. The MCL (managed care liaisons) team had just ben expanded with lots of new hires and then at a field medical meeting there was a conference call telling them their role was going to be eliminated with an unclear time-line. At my breakout table, the MCLs were mortified....especially the brand new ones. A few bailed quickly but many stuck around hardly working, to get a payout or pursue other internal positions. A few got internal jobs but most, including their field managers got bypassed for whatever, possible DEI, inspired decision making. Peggy H (PH). felt the need to have "MEDS" and hire only the best and the put not only the MED but also all MSL/MSL manager jobs up for re-hire and insisted on EXTERNAL and internal posting.

The MEDs were always the result of bad decisions by PH (higher level medical leadership, JF, etc..) but she would NOT let if 'fail' so to speak at least in theory since it was her failure, but we all know the reality......it was a bad decision, executed poorly, and have had negative impact to many individuals and the organization!!! She also has benefited from DEI and seems to have never really been held accountable for her negative impact. Has she done some 'good'....probably but that's expected from the job.....and the negative impact is most substantial.

All the decisions Bea and her leadership team has made has Peggy's fingerprints all over it. We all know who really is controlling the FMT.
Let's focus on the positive. My time at Roche has been a valuable lesson in leadership pitfalls (i.e. Joni's cronies, Rav's Ted Lasso quotes, Toby's MacDaddy of Medical, and Bea's CLEAR OUT the leaders.

From ineffective DEI initiatives to poor communication and elitist behaviors, it's a case study in what not to do. Specifically, I've observed leaders prioritizing appearances over engagement, content and character over charisma, making decisions without transparency, and fostering a culture of exclusivity. I couldn't even differentiate which RATL was which; they seem like Bea-look-alikes

I end with this thought: how does FMT act upon health equity when you can't maintain equitable hiring practices? Did the MSLs who applied for the RMD roles get any feedback? How did you remove barriers to promotion? Or is health equity just lip service

You don't need to maintain equitable hiring processes when leaders are allowed to just hire their friends not because of any practical qualifications one of the RTAL went as far as saying so during one of the breakouts. Nothing is fair in corporate America get on board or get off the bus. Health equity and Diversity is certainly just lip service, I guess they can check the box since Bryan is now a leader.

"One of the things I’ve done along my journey is encourage women to advocate for themselves and gain confidence that we can do what we’re passionate about doing. Women need to support other women so that we aren’t questioning ourselves about what we are capable of doing."- Bea, she came here with a mission looks like she accomplished it.

+1 This was also a final push for the leaders to hit the blue multiplier to have more women in leadership positions.

What a HUGE bunch of losers in FMT. It is laughable what the rest of the organization at GNE thinks of this group. You all in FMT would not know it since you're so full of yourselves thinking your degrees are the most important thing -- and thinking your 'knowledge' is so valuable. What a bunch of selfish whiners. It is honestly disgusting to even think of how you all are even employed. The last iteration of the leadership changes are likely some of the best that have ever occurred -- to deserving people, with a high EQ. The fact that cafe pharma continues to be a dumping ground for such an entitled and loser mindset group is just sad - why don't you engage and use the speak up culture?
