I'm afraid I have to disagree. It is about something other than the returning to the office but SW's leadership in managing the complexities and culture. The question remains unanswered, what has he done to address the culture? Why people like CC, JM are still in the system? What's his vision for this business? Many more questions require attention from him.

Many of those gigs at those companies are now hybrid - so not fully in office.

That seems to be the way most companies in many industries are going - work 2/3 in office then home for 2/3.

Steve's vision is to be a $1 billion company by 2027. The problem is that he has no plan to get there. Perclot is not going to save the day and we have nothing in our pipeline. Plus our track record with acquisitions isn't very promising. He should hope we get sold.
As for culture, what we thought was bad before has only gotten worse. He's a numbers guy and knows nothing about being a leader so there shouldn't be any expectation that he would be out in front showing us the way. Along with Vince and Iftekhar, he's has no credibility with anyone in this organization. How much rope does Heather need to let him continue to have?

Who would replace him? No one internally, certainly not Iftekar (who I hear has been completely absent).

I agree with the other Comments that this negativity all started when folks were told to get back in the office TWO DAYS a week. People need to get back to work. They signed up for office jobs before COVID. If they want remote jobs then go work somewhere else. This entitlement is crazy and smells to like people aren't putting in their 10hrs a day

The title of this blog is worded weird. "By design or default"? Who speaks like that? Sounds like a foreigner. Foreigners at corporate should watch out. Because it isn't hard to figure out who comes up with this BS.

It is so disappointing at corporate when I don’t see the familiar cafeteria faces from years past. I always loved David who worked the grill. I hope he is doing well, wherever he is.

Uncle Vinny is the master of big ideas but no details. All talk and little action. Unless you wanted more Baxter swag. Apparently he made a comment on the RM call that the new comp plan would "feed the eagles and starve the turkeys". Just what we want from our leader. Asshole! He needs to go back and re-read his stupid Legacy book. He missed the point of what that book is really about.
But we heard he threw a mean Christmas party with a huge spread. Of course, that's if you were invited.
