Interviewing with Esperion with cardiology background

Esperion is hiring again. The top reps have left within a few months. Why is this? How is the product? Or products? I always see the samples in offices not being sampled. Why? The CLEAR outcomes seem okay? My main concern is the company is burning through a lot of cash. For such a small company. Should I apply?

You need to read some of the very first posts about the deceitful, morally corrupt and unprofessional the interviewing process is.

The Scientific Hired, Highly Tenured Customer Facing Team and now Lipid Trained experts is in disarray.

Do you aspire to be a member of this ?

Just do yourself a favor and run. You'll look back on this year's later knowing you dodge a spear in the heart by not working at Esperion. Morally bankruptcy and lying to candidates through the so called interview process was the norm. Everyone I know that interviewed at the start before the launch said they had never had a more deceitful corrupt interview. They had a massive layoff 9 months after launch with their hand chosen "Dream Team". The sales were non-existent. Take 30 minutes and go back through the post to Jan 2020 and on.

I can’t speak to what the situation was four years ago because I haven’t been on board that long, but I’ll chip in as to what I see based on the marketplace. Overall, we got off to a very slow start because of Covid but today things are really beginning to accelerate with the new clinical data. Company is in a bit of a tight spot financially, but the deal with the Japanese will probably get settled and that will definitely help be an additional lifeline. There is definitely a need out there and bringing on the co-promote has been somewhat helpful, these folks are really getting paid well so they’re super motivated. If you love cardio and you know how to sell then this may be a good spot, but as usual it really depends a lot on your manager.

Thank you previous poster or should I say the HR lackey who's job it is to post outrageous success stories on this forum. Esperion is fading fast and the sales team couldn't give free gold away to docs if they had a trunk full of gold bricks.

Fading fast? Quite the opposite. You’ve been out to the loop for awhile so what do you know?

the only reason to keep me from interviewing is the samples aren’t moving in the offices I already have relationships with. ALSO the company upper management is burning through a lot of cash. Both drugs are out and the outcomes are done where is the money going towards? Their expenses for the year is like $250 million. For a small company isn’t that a lot?

Nobody is out of loop dipshit. So where is the stock now?? Let's see...$1.29. Bravo !! Well done!! Quite a remarkable performance from 3 years ago at $78.00. You should be proud of your performance. Just keep fading down the toilet.

Thanks for the feedback, I just connected some dots and found out a former colleague friend of a friend is working for the company. They are apparently pretty satisfied, I’m reaching out to hear how things are looking and to answer a few questions.

Same. This is the most negative board on all Cafepharma so thanks for the level headed response. Everyone else is crazy on this board. Hope they aren’t sales reps.

I did learn Esperion is applying for label change on the main drug with CLEAR outcomes which is huge. I don’t see how that is a negative thing as it would expand the patients and insurance coverage…

also they sued a company and I’m pretty sure they will settle instead of fight it out for years in court.

finally I read the CLEAR outcomes and they are good. Not great but Repatha outcomes study was shorter and had the similar outcomes. Getting insurance to pay for that drug is hard. Why don’t doctors just add this onto a statin? Makes sense.

This another desperate response from management on how great BA is doing. The data sucks. Sales sucks. Rampant turnover. Incompetent managers. If your desperate take the jo . I'm looking and will continue to get paid by Esperion while I get a new job. 70% of my team is looking. We're going through the motions. Good luck and welcome to Esperion Ace!

Yeah working with someone like this definitely is unattractive. You must be miserable 24/7. Probably some lazy boomer just getting a check and generating 0 TRXs. You’re probably not smart enough to remember Zetia which is Ezetimibe it generated 1.4 Billion in revenue in 2017 before going generic. You and this board sounds so unattractive. It’s crazy all the boomers that bitch instead of actually go make sales.

This company has outcomes that are good not great. There is a huge market for patients that can’t tolerate statins. Livalo is a statin (more tolerant than other statins) the only branded one left that produces over $600 million in revenue with NO outcomes.

You won't want the stain of working at ESPR on your resume.
All Pharma knows about the deceitful interview process which created the culture.
Burning $ 250 million a year doesn't lead to long time employment.
Covid is the excuse that keeps on giving.
Beware

5 years from Esperion will still be blaming Covid for their incompetence. On second thought Esperion will be long gone 5 years from now. Only a moron would join this company. Remember to short the stock!!
