There is no need for being hateful. Other than the Texas branch, I believe we have a very competent, and hard working staff of employees. But the average IQ in Texas must be at least 20 points below the national average, so they staffed with what they could find. For now, let's stop berating each other and be grateful that we have earned Jeans for the month again!
This site is for employees to voice their concerns may it be positive or negative. Ccs bid for competitive bidding was $12 for a box of test strips, same as simplex. Interesting how langiotti and iskra's bid are the same. This will be a huge adjustment from $35 a box of test strips from Medicare today. The bids will be announced in oct for July 2013 implementation.
More bad news, one of ccs' largest managed care contracts (humana) sent a term letter with an effective date of 12/31/12. Humana has it's own dme and keeping the business to itself.

under OBAMACARE all diabetic testing supplies are subject to a 2.3 excise tax. Just google : OBAMACARE diabetic testing supplies. anyway the entire mail order dme industry will be wiped out by then.
As of now there is not many positions left in the medical administrative/sale side of the business . I've been looking for a year now and decided it's time for me to look for other opportunities in another field.
Typical misinformed conservative. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act moves diabetic testing supplies under DME supplies. No "excise tax" mentioned.

You are correct, as of 2013, under Obamacare there will be a 2.3 excise tax placed on manufacturers of medical devices. Diabetic testing supplies fall in this catagory.
