Specialty Generics: Barriers To Uptake

Since enactment of the 1984 Hatch-Waxman Act, generic drug uptake in the U.S. has increased dramatically. At present, nearly 90% of prescriptions in the U.S. are generic drugs, compared with 20% 30 years ago.
