Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine captures the most annual sales of any medical product ever — by more than $15B

As Pfizer now controls about 70% of the Covid-19 vaccine market in the US and Europe, the company announced Tuesday a gargantuan total of $36.8 billion in 2021 sales for its life-saving vaccine.

That $36.8 billion number demolishes the second-place finisher for most drug/vaccine sales in a year, which also came in 2021 for AbbVie, as its behemoth Humira hauled in almost $21 billion.
