Olympus acquires Veran Medical Technologies

Olympus (TYO:7733) today said it acquired Veran Medical Technologies for $340 million.

St. Louis, Mo.-based Veran Medical Technology makes medical devices specializing in interventional pulmonology. Through the deal, Olympus will gain Veran’s global sales network, marketing, manufacturing, R&D and other function to expand its respiratory product portfolio.
