Morphosys to buy Constellation in $1.7B deal, aided by unusual funding

German biotech MorphoSys will buy cancer drugmaker Constellation Pharmaceuticals in a $1.7 billion deal funded in unusual fashion by the sale of royalty rights to several antibody medicines that MorphoSys previously helped to develop.
