Moderna readies multi-pronged plan for coronavirus variants, ups vaccine production

Moderna has shipped to the National Institutes of Health doses of a new booster vaccine that's tailored to a coronavirus variant originally detected in South Africa, the company said Wednesday, less than one month after it first announced plans to develop one.
