Merck Is Embracing AI, But ‘We Always Have a Human in the Loop,’ Exec Says

Merck’s implementation of artificial intelligence in drug research includes analyzing years of existing Merck clinical data to help identify which drugs and drug combinations to pursue. But Merck executive Matt Studney said AI is tool to help, not replace humans.
