BioNTech, Pfizer shares gain on U.S. funding for coronavirus vaccine doses

BioNTech BNTX, 6.16% and Pfizer Inc. PFE, 2.48% said they will receive $1.95 billion from the U.S. government to produce at least 1 million doses of their experimental COVID-19 vaccine if it receives approval or emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration.
