The issue is that formularies are restricted. Humana has pre-auths as one example. This isn't the old days with Lovaza when it was launched there were omega-3's that were non-Rx but had no where near the potency of today's non-Rx omega 3's. A generic Lovaza is less than 2 years away.
The data over the last year for other outcomes trials and AF trials, hasn't been promising to show that benefit to take four horse pills a day that have a tier 3 co-pay is worth it.
Now as for ANCHOR, that indication would need to be marketed to primary care. so you need 800+ reps. Amarin can't afford it. Their cash burn because of REDUCE-IT and operating expenses are too high.
Bottom line is we can all hear the "fat lady" warming up back stage.

Shut up. Your drug is irrelevant and nobody is buying it except your shareholders. You will all find yourselves bankrupt. Hold my bag.

So you work for a real pharma company - so you are someone who accepts no risk, and will be replaced after 8 years of service like an old car with not sales skills.
