I was an ideal candidate....diabetes experienced, injectables experienced, good number of total years of experience, great track record. What else do they freakin want???? Obviously I got my rejection letter yesterday...and it was so kind..."please wait forever to reapply"....whatever. Bitches.
 






Hey don't get so down on yourself, that is the employment market at present.

At times like these, keep smiling and dream about your "revenge of the nerds" scenario once the market turns around.
 






Seriously, count your blessings for getting the rejection letter and continue your job search with companies that are professional and not already down a path for failure.

Agreed. Think about the hiring folks - they know there is no future, they don't want to build lofty expectations for you at this time. Trust those of us who have been deceived with the proverbial bag over a bride's head, followed by a hot night of lusty sex, only to see the ugliness in the morning. Is that descriptive enough for you?
 






I hear ya...really, I do. But the problem is I have no freakin income. Anything is better than zero. I am beginning to think that Lilly won't hire the unemployed or laid off out of fear for why they were laid off. Thing is, I have a superb track record (seriously..no blowing smoke here) and was laid off because of where I live. Period. My plan was to take this Lilly gig and since it was FDE I would start looking around as soon as training was over. So, I know what you all are saying about being glad....but my banker might think otherwise.

Dude, I'm not calling Lilly "stupid" if that is your implication....I just wonder what Lilly is looking for. My experience fit their "job requirements" to a T. So, I must have done something wrong in the interview. What did I say to describe myself that these 2 didn't like? Did I appear pompous? Did I appear unintelligent to them? I guess I am just a little sour right now but I have always hated the "While your qualifications are significant they do not match what we are looking for"....bs. Uh, my qualifications do match what you are looking for or you wouldn't have asked me to freakin interview!

I saw three very hot reps recently strolling outside the corp center and one had this devilish smile, saying "we are working so HARD" and all three giggled, it was so high school

You will neer hear from them...I say join the Peace Corp, while they will take you to a trip to Rio Gallegos, Puerto montt, Valparaiso, Cajamarca, Tororo, Kisumu, bujumbura, and even Mbabane in Swaziland. Peace Corp is getting unfunded when they run out out current session.

Atleast for 2011 it is funded fully. Not sure for 2014 onward...With so much turmoil going over the Middle East, I suspect the Peace Corp wil get funding for next year. It takes 20 CIA agents work that one Peace Corp worker do. That is the most compelling reason.

So did you ever think that there is a possibility that another applicant fit the job decription to a T as well? It sounds like you may have more to concern about other than just being sour Lilly didn't hire you.

For once management may have finally made a good call!
