WOW! Is this company really THAT bad!?!?!

There are issues all over Integra, Neuro is by far the worst from what I hear. Somebody better do something soon or else there are going to be big expensive problems.

Instead of whining learn how to work the system. All the smart people at Integra know that it's about whose ass you kiss not what you really do. There are a ton of people collecting paychecks that do nothing because they are friends with the right people. It's the culture here.

Unfortunately this is probabaly true of Integra the world over. Once these behaviors become part of a companies culture it is a difficult thing to change. A few buzz words, no real business, product, market or industry knowledge and you're safe. Once these individuals become embedded, in any organisation, they are impossible to shift & serve their own interests exclusively. The company is sound at the highest level; look at its successes! It now needs solid senior and middle management who understand their individual businesses and can identify, nurture, develop and retain sales & marketing talent.
If Integra can't do that then the whole project ends when the "Big Bosses" cash in!
Corporate attentions are probably elsewhere, 'Project Delphi' and the next acquisition(s) etc; maybe sales are there just to "maintain" rather than drive revenue at this point in the Integra story? Investing in acquisitions, great management and good people simultaneously is the real art! Carlossi's hand is nolonger at the commercial tiller! So yep! It really is that bad!

Well said! If you are not connected then be prepared to be fk'd daily if you don't like it hang in keep your head down and look for something better. Is it easy no but this is how it is here now that Carlozzi is gone.

Vision without Action is day dreaming! Action without Vision is a nightmare!
The vision & action thing is what sets our real leaders apart from the rest. Integra's challenge seems to be finding that 'enlightened leadership' at all levels to augment the key strategy as envisioned by it's core management team. They not only have to look externally; but, also have to audit all their people.
Truth be told, the key task on a corporate level is probably ringing more efficiencies out of the assett portfolio and manufacturing vehicle. All the acquisitions 'allegedly' have different financial reporting packages; so the numbers, historically, once crunched and re-crunched have to be crunched again!
Sales and marketings development will probably be sacrificed until Project Delphi affords Integra the internal operational, financial and accounting instruments and transparency it craves.
How many people who guide the organization have come through a sales and marketing career path? With the reported degree of S&M churn. How can there be true consistency and sound decision making in any chosen market? The Vision thing!
If you can't measure it and count it; you can't manage it! Hence Delphi!
Salesforce.com: Action without vision! Alas, it fools middle & senior management into thinking they have an instrument by which they it can analyse, compare and justify any questionable sales results and, or, sales activity. Remember results trail activity by months! If the reps gone then what are you really measuring? You don't need the contacts - you need the relationships! Caution, so many former Pharma companies have gone this way!
If Integra needs to increase revenues and grow it's turnover it will do it the same way as always - Acquire somebody! Most organizations sell their way out of trouble: Integra try's to buy it's way out of, or indeed into, strife! Vision without the correct action...."Limiting or creating uncertainty!" Need we say more!
It will continue to be that bad for a good while to come! Effectively it's an organization full of strangers!

Allegedly, a newly hired associate congratulated a recently promoted Regional Manager on his appointment and enquired about the selection process. My colleague was surprised by the naivety of the new bosses answer and the implications for themselves and all concerned. Gleefully they, the new RM, volunteered that in a run off between two candidates, one with prior man management experience and the other new to both team and business management, before the interviews took place, this new RM was told by the appointing manager that the job was theirs solely on the grounds of the senior managers preference, or atleast, that was the story was told. The appointee was the guy with no prior experience or management training. Performance meant nothing, prior business experience meant nothing, due process & HR procedures meant nothing, years of great annual appraisals meant nothing! Agreed "People at Integra KNOW that it is who your friends are that really matters!"
