Worst/Useless Meds

Sular a copycat ccb that competes against the market leader from Pfizer. Also two branded generics for cholesterol and diabetes we spent $50 million for instead of an extra mill for bonuses. Anything from Sceile/Lost horizon

Micardis, bullshit studies and no room for 7 pretty much equal drugs, especially since there is almost no formulary coverage.

I knew someone who sold Aceon, same deal, trying to find some little marketing edge to sell a drug that there are 10 others just like it that are cheaper and better coverage.

All those reps selling branded gemfibrozil/fenofibrate type drugs, especially when a company tries to "re-brand" them off some insignificnt data or dose.

Alinia,

Supposedly treated Giardia lamblia or Cryptosporidium parvum: There are about 10 cases of crypto a year in the US and Giardia can be treated with Flagyl for about five bucks. This company was run by the stupidest crooks I have ever seen. They were stupid to launch a 180 person sales force for a drug with no market and crooks for threatening reps to sell products off label. I think there might even be a law suite against them by a group of reps, I know PDI and I think Cardinal have suites against them for non payment and breach of contract.

Just about all branded Derm acne/steroid products and ALL branded Cough/Cold Products.

A Botox wannabe. Product fell flat on its face, the company fell flat on its face and the docs would not touch it.

At least I got a severance package and a new job with a successful biotech out of the deal.

Must be a tricor rep complaining, go drop some fucking samples already!

u obviously don't know much about GI meds.
I sell ppi's too.
O.K. Tell me why.
Please don't give me %'s or indications that drs. and patients do not care about. They are work the same, but cost the patients very differently. Lose your kool-aid drinking- my drug and I make a difference- attitude.
The original Prilosec reps made the difference.

Too bad you were never one of them. I sold Prilosec and launched Nexium and can tell you, there were some major difference in Nexium that improved patients quality of life.

clinically speaking- Aciphex and Nexium are the 2 best ppi's on the market. They all work, yes. But some better than others. So if I can't show you %'s, Pkdata, studies, indications, side effect profiles, etc.. what will you accept.. features and benefits??
