Hmmmm...your manager can only fire people that way if they've been falsifying calls (i.e. getting gas in one city while they say they were making calls in another) or falsifying expenses. Is a manager bad for making sure you don't fake and lie your way through your job?
Sorry you had a bunch of dishonest liars in your District, but it's actually a good thing for your manager to get rid of them. Most companies don't try and build a sales force around those who falsify documentation and spend company money on things they shouldn't.
This comedians response is classic. You know the kind of manager who makes the previous statement of going through expense reports and spends company time trying to find an escape goat for there numbers an bonus tanking. That same manager who calls for a team building at a high end restaurant. And then asks a rep to pay the bill so he doesn't have to submit it to his boss for scrutiny. How's this for uniting us..
