Worst company ever

I think the prudent move is to wait before joining any company to launch an antibiotic. I agree that it takes 12 - 18 months if not longer to get things rolling. Usually in that time the initial hires get frustrated and leave or get fired. It's much smarter to take a wait and see approach and join in the 2nd wave. By doing so you come in and look like a hero when sales pick up because the timing is right. The wait and see approach also gives you more insight into the leadership, culture and marketing strategies of the company. Jumping into the first wave here at Durata as well as The Medicines Company was just plain risky. With the benefit of hindsight I'm sure most that are here or at Medicines would not have made the move if they had the information they have now. Live and learn I guess. Next time around I wait for the 2nd wave to join a new company.

This is god speaking. All I want to know is are you IN or are you OUT? You do not need to worry about anything else like what the severance package really looks like or your family if you are not retained. Do not worry about what division you might be working in or if you and your manager like each other or not or if you like your new teammates. Do not worry about that bonus I said was guaranteed or all the other questionable things I told you to get you to come here. I do not need to provide you anything in writing I just need to know if you are IN or OUT.........oh, and I need 5 more vials by the end of the week.

What sucks is that if you are offered a job with Actavis and do not take it you will not be entitled to the 3 month severance or even unemployment benefits for that matter.

But then you're not bound to the non compete. If you take the severance then they'll make you sign it again for the severance period.

Too bad none of the facts have been presented to us. This is the craziest buyout I have ever seen. They are making us all feel as though we will have jobs, and maybe we will, but it's like we are being held hostage until the final moment.

Oh shut up and quit being so self centered. Like why would they share any facts with peons like you? Be glad you have a job. There are people being beheaded in this world and there's a whole bunch of crybabies on this site worrying about the facts! Grow up, man!

Hey angry man. People live within their own circumstances and are every bit entitled to feel how they feel. I'm sure everyone knew the risk of coming to a start up and in the end understands that it's all just business. However, start to finish, it does feel like there was a lot of deceit and empty words that never really meant anything. So now with new words and the unwillingness to put anything in writing to back-up all the new promises it's understandable that people are frustrated. Yes, the founders deserve to to get the most they can but it does feel like our faces are being stepped on along their way. ad we even received a normal amount of options up front you would not hear nearly as much complaining. Good luck to all.

Not angry. Just incredulous that you ingrates would want even more. You're barely worth your salary but yet you want more options, more bonuses, more of everything. You're really a worthless POS sales team starting with the RBDs all the way to each TBM. Singularly lackluster. Worst sales team in history. Rest in peace, brotha.
