Working PC or Specialty

I think Bobby Brown said it best when he said:

"It's good, it's good, it's good to go solo"

Jeez, I for one would never want to work into a PC team or pod again. Beware, if you get put with a team mate who feels entitled to what they consider their turf and their turf alone. Some will do anything to get you kicked out of "their territory"!

Don't be a bumpkin if you get put into a existing territory!
Eyes open!

Be nice but know that not everyone is a good playmate!

Some are podmates from hell!

Solo jobs at AZ? Only in Onc. Everyone else is force ranked against mirror image pod mates and 80 percent of them will stab you in the back and walk over your dead body.

Usually a true specialty rep see only specialists and they are the only rep on the account. They carry the ball, juggle everything and have the responsibility from A-Z on the account.

Seems that specialists at AZ are product specialists, not account specialists. Big difference between that an a regular specialty rep. They seem to be POD reps with a specialty title. Surprising. Dont you have specialty reps who see only Endos?

companies attract top reps by offering no pod territories. They know about the bs. Bigger costs with pods is an issue with some companies.

The answer is to get all new people in the territory. No one feels entitled or is possessive. It is OUR territory, no nobody says its mine!

I just walked away from this shithole and all I can say is your data is a fucking joke, the job is a joke - honestly, surprised that any company would EVER hire a pharma rep. You folks are the tops at wasting time, creating needless busy work, pissing off clients and micro-managing worthless details. I had been doing pharma for 16 years and thought it was a good gig for a while. The last four years have been horrible and even MORE horrible at AZ. I actually work now. I use real CRM software - not the B.S. you call data. My data is up to the moment correct and incredibly detailed. I provide a valuable service and go into any institution or office and they are GLAD to see me and sit and talk with me. Oh, I also almost never SELL. Isn't that a laugh. I talk about them, their needs, what I can do to help and make their life better or that of their patient. Pharma is the biggest B.S. gig on the planet and in the to distant future I predict that doctors will realize they really do not need four reps with the same damn drug calling on them every week. What do you think?

I still remember my boss role-playing with me before an important call on how we were going to get the "message" across. OMG! I may miss the income but not the bullshit.
