working at Masimo?

Hi guys,

Seems a very heated debate. I wanted to know how is it to work as an R&D engineer at Masimo? The discussion above seems to focus solely on sales rep. Any info would help as I have an offer as R&D engineer and would like to know more sepcifically on the engineering side?

Do it. It's an excellent opportunity to define your own outer limits of right vs. wrong. Ever wonder how strong your integrity is? Employment at Masimo provides a robust, nearly ideal test environment for defining these things once and for all.

Sounds confusing. Any facts that make it clearer on the engineering side?

Thanks
Kfnff
If after reading these posts you're still confused and requesting more "facts" then you're in denial. If you're in denial, then you must be a Masimo manager. And if not, you're a perfect candidate, and here's some good news for you...Masimo is hiring right now in every division, every region, every product group and every level of management. Giddy up partner!!!

What a validation this board is! I worked at Masimo for less than a year. It took me all of 30 days to figure out the culture is completely screwed up and the micro management was very evident! My time here was painful, stressful and I feel like I took a giant step backwards! Thank God I'm out!!!

hey you.... the guy who left us...

was it a mistake? you had to take a shot I guess...

come back if it sucks at massimo as bad as it sounds on this board.

you know who you are...by the way I loved your post... no body types how they talk except you.

Joker has been getting away with bogus self-hype and snake oil for so many years. However....... Enter social media. Now we have nearly full visibility into his web of lies and broken promises. The pretty rainbow he sold us turned out to be spo2 with a side of cold fries.

Masimo is in big trouble this time...
http://www.law360.com/m/articles/457838/masimo-board-can-t-duck-unfair-stock-payment-claims

The accused: Rick Fishel (big surprise), Joe Kiani (shocker), Yongsam Lee (of course), Anand Sampath (obviously), Steven J. Barker, Edward L. Cahill, Robert Colemen, Jack Lasersohn, Stanford Fitch, and.......drumroll please for the world's smallest surprise...Masimo Corporation!

That's a list of usual suspects if I've ever seen one. Anyone know if they're being criminally prosecuted? Or will Masimo just pay a big fine when they're found guilty. Money is no object to those cow patties, I want a group photo of them all wearing matching striped pajamas. Would make a great screen saver. That's the only way they'll learn.

Those out of touch ne'er do wells will smile for the camera. That's how defiant and (in their own minds) entitled they are to the excessive, "strategically-timed" stocks they're being accused of fraudulently accepting from the Board. They proudly stand by the alleged crimes and look forward to their day in court. Strange? Yes, but no stranger than anything else at Masimo. Sometimes I'm so overwhelmed by the strangeness of this place, all I can do is sit on my front porch and bark.

I am an experienced Capital/OR device rep sick of the OR. Have a possible opportunity with Masimo. heard great things about their products but mixed details on working there. Anyone have any feedback? Good place to work, can Mid 150's be made?
Thanks

Don't do it your with your experience you can get a position with a much better company. In my experience they are not truthful and will pay you commission on whatever they feel is fair. So if you don't find the deal you will only get partial commission. I closed a deal in 18 months that they had been working on for 6 years and couldn't get it closed. They paid me half of what my comp plan said I should get paid. It's a stressful company to work for and they are very unethical.

Here again is why Masimo is having trouble with turnover. They monitor a message board instead of trying to make the culture better to keep successful people. Its interesting, you always hold out hope that it will get better and then you realize, this is it. I guess that's why recruiters desks are filled with Masimo resumes

Most Recruiters won't touch this company. They don't want their reputation associated with such an unethical organization.

Masimo Wins; whiners lose

What a burn on the whiners' previous posts. Judge refuses to overturn Masimo's judgment against Philips. Federal prosecutors decline to bring criminal charges against Masimo. Score: Whiners' 0; Masimo $1/2 Billion.

Medical companies that are investigated by the federal government for criminal activity are creepy if you ask me.

Have you ever known Masimo to be so speechless about a "win"? The company has made no public comments or press releases other than an 8-k filing to the SEC about it,
informing them the criminal portion of the charges have been dropped (but not necessarily the civil or regulatory charges). Yay Masimo?

That JD Farrell Recruiting firm called me this morning regarding a Miami territory opening. I'm currently an outside sales consultant for Xerox. Should I continue some time at Xerox and seek other/better med sales opportunities? Is it not even worth to interview with Masimo? I don't want to waste my time as I've researched a lot of these recent lawsuits and other negativity surrounding their management and they seem like major red flags.

I worked there for a couple years
Here is my advice. Focus on the final three words of your inquiry. Repeat those three words over and over in your head for about an hour. Then make your decision.

There are more than enough Douche Bag managers at this company. They are all crooks and try to extort other companies. No morals, just a bunch of little whiners and losers.
