Pride? Dignity? Please. My job disappeared there in duluth with no offer of future employment, no "unfair" moving cost reimbursement, etc. I got to sit for six months watching people get laid off or move and have my soul sucked out.

You may not love your job, but be happy you're getting a check and have insurance that doesn't cost a ton a month out of your own pocket.

And yes, the person at GSK who led the charge to buy stiefel should be fired. But Charlie and his boys should sued for fraud in their efforts to hide the truth during the sale. And then there's the stock class action suit. And even if those last two things don't hurt them, I feel confident that karma will pay back the Stiefels 100 fold.
 






Interesting to read the love for GSK. I am on the GSK hosptial side and what you are experiening is the same crap we are dealing with. I've been with the company 13+ years and I must say the last 2 have absolutely sucked. DC and AW have totally screwed this company. I must say that Steifel looked like to me to be an attactive purchase because of the supposed annual revenue and the possible tie in with GSK consumer products. Great to see you don't have sales numbers anymore either - totally the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
 



Okay, but another way to look at it is... I still call on customers I like and have access to, still make pretty good money, I like my manager, and we are relatively stable with a pipeline. How many other companies have that?
 



All I can say, is the DM in Los Angeles is killing his team! He is the worst DM to work for, and his short mans complex grows short and shorter everyday.

You are kidding right? MD, Innovative? He was never a rep, he was a manager for less than a year, and now running sales (per my manager who was there when he went over his "background"? He rode with another rep on my team and they were embarrased how all he taked about was his kids on every call - then when they asked him a question about one of their products he didn't know - i hope he has to take this Patient 1st test - i cant wait until BH wakes up and corrects this ongoing mistake. Oh, and give me my own room at meetings idiot.
 



Mike D is not qualified for sure but I'm pretty sure a chimp could do his job at this point. He is being told what to do by GSK and he is simply carrying out orders. Innovation is not allowed. Ideas are a thing of the past at Stiefel.

The family sh*t is ridiculous and old though. I wish them well but seriously, who gives a f*ck.

This company is dead. It is what it is and there is no point in wishing it was something else. Charlie did the right thing by selling and GSK is executing their plan.

Was off today and missed the call. Please fill me in on some of the highlights ( or low lights ) of what I can only imagine was another waste of time filled with nonspecifics. Are we getting "restructured"? Are we still able to give eachother high5's and shoutouts? Is everybodys family ok? Will ANYONE stop the trainwreck this company has become before we are looked at as a step or two below Graceway or Promious? Not yet, but know a few who have. Outsourced to Malasia or somewhere where english is not the primary language, just weird, but U got to know ur detail aid in and out, like when we call on our top targets and get into 15 minute conversations of how the 5 endpoints of our psoriasis pivitol study actualy indicate that a 16% success rate is a great thing..all things considered. FML.
 



The writing is on the wall. Duac and Soriatane are going generic. Altibax failed. Veltin never had a shot. Olux E is getting crushed. What else is there to sell?

The real question is, what genius at GSK thought it was a good it was a good idea to buy Stiefel for 4 bill?!?!? The person should be fired quicker than any of us.

Stiefel is no more. If you don't have your resumes together than you are clinging to the past. The job market is saturated and the longer you wait the longer you will be without a job.

I do not need to read a book to tell this ship is going down. The industry will never be the same. Time to deal with it and wake up out of our dreams of calling this a real job.
