I would not comply with any request to inflate attendee numbers. And I have been asked about strategy and have lived by the letter and spirit of the so-called "safe to speak up" environment. And I have been HAMMERED for it. But I will never stop.

You are right about the Merck toxicity. Being honest with myself is one of the few things that keeps me sane these days. At least I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I haven't been bought.

I am impressed. May be it was my bad luck the last few managers were the geeky robot kind that quiz reps about Merck values this and that. About that time I realized Merck really prefer not to hear about my opinion except to show full support even if it means jumping off a cliff.
