Why are so many people leaving?

Left Pfizer over a year ago and got a $40K pay raise on base salary. Good people and culture at my new company. Over the years, Pfizer diluted my salary as I received pats on my back. I will say that Pfizer was/is a great company and I had great managers and leaders at Pfizer, but they had their hands tied in many instances by corporate and HR methodologies. Don’t have my company shoving social agenda down my throat every day either which is surprising in today’s corporate world.
 




If you are in Rare Disease or Oncology you can get an immediate $30-$40K raise in base salary if you go somewhere else.

And chances are, that somewhere else will pay big bonuses to go out and do your job well without all the stupid, unnecessary matrix environment bullshit.

There is so much meaningless dead weight here it is appalling.
 




The corporate social agenda is greatly disappointing.

It’s creating divisions among employees where there doesn’t have to be any.

I am a pro-lifer, believer in marriage between a man and woman, man-made climate change skeptic, woman is a human with 2 X chromosomes definer, and deficit/debt hawk who also thinks that communism and socialism are corrupt political philosophies. I get along with everyone, most people have no clue what I believe or how I vote, yet it’s like a poke in the eye every time a company advocates for the opposing values instead of just doing it’s job, saving the world, making products and making profits.

Should we all be bringing are deep rooted personal beliefs to the workplace to advocate for them to co workers? Would that make Pfizer a better company?

You are exactly what the woke at Pfizer despises. My guess is that you are a white male too, which puts an even bigger target on your back. Wokism is working to destroy the American ideals that made us great. I will never yield their craziness! They have pushed the Hispanics, Asians, and whites too hard, and it’s going to bite them in the ass! Liberals are like a cancer to the U.S. Constitution. They want to destroy it
by using the policies of the ultra left and the WEF.

Like Netflix, remove the woke from the workforce and concentrate on business, and not am I using the correct pronoun when addressing someone!

This company literally has created a make believe world with make believe job titles, that do absolutely nothing of value.
 




The leftist ideology pushed by companies was started to appease the "occupy" protesters, which began in the pacific northwest in the late 1990s but began spreading everywhere.

Their disruption began to affect corporate profits, and hiring public relations firms was getting extremely expensive.

But like everything else, it's gotten completely out of control. The largest capital lenders enforce ESG/stakeholder capitalism as a requirement to gain continual access to funding.

They don't really believe this stuff. It's really all about money (and the access to it)

Hello??? Obviously exit survey results state that $$$ is number one reasonable followed by culture/concern for layoffs. PFE is way behind the salary grade compared to the industry standard. Salary adjustments are under review but it’ll be months until any conclusions are drawn. Until then, people will keep flocking to other companies by the day (including myself and two others from my team).

Na, sit tight and wait for the next big payout, I mean layoff. Got shown the door during Bold Moves and it was the best thing that's happened to me from a career standpoint. I was a white, middle aged male that pushed back on the virtual BS...weird, right?! I hope that Pfizer gets everything thats coming to them.
 




I'm white, male, middle aged and can't wait for them to pay me to leave. The diversity people can fake virtual calls after I'm gone for a fraction of what I get paid.

Glad to see there a few sane people left at Pfizer but we'll be driven out if they have their way. Hoping 'our side' will win in the end for the good of the company and the world.
