Who stays...who goes

20 weeks min
Plus 2 weeks per completed year ie 6 yrs = 12 weeks

20+12=32 weeks total
plus the 60 days paid which are Months April and May (8 weeks)
for you equals 40 weeks

not bad! I still want my job, but it is not bad!!!!

If you worked for 6 years you receive 20 weeks severance. 0 to 10 years employment = 20 weeks pay. If you worked 13 years you will receive 26 weeks pay. Over 10 years you receive 2 weeks pay for each year you worked.

Don't be so nasty and shout. You better brush up on your interview skills since you are a nasty ignorant human. You will be lucky to get 1 interview for every 100 resumes you send out. Most likely someone else will get the job over you anyway.

You would get a minimum of 20 wks irregardless of your tenure. The maximum is 70wks.
I sure am going to miss all the vacation time I have accrued.

"irregardless" is not a word. That is a double negative. You should say "regardless". You will be laughed at during your next interview if you use that word. Just sayin'...

This is correct. I am an FLM, was trained by HR last time and explained the package multiple times to reps who were let go.

This is correct. Another way to say it is - everyone gets 20 weeks, even those with less than 10 years with Novartis. However for those with more than 10 years, the formula is 2 weeks for every year with Novartis, so -

WARN Act Time - 60 days, plus

10 years or less, an additional 20 weeks

11 years - 22 weeks
12 years - 24 weeks
13 years - 26 weeks
14 years - 28 weeks, etc. up to 70 weeks for 35 or more years of Novartis employment

Anniversary (a year's credit) is calculated on making your year before WARN Act period expires, so if the WARN Act clock kicks in on April 1st, as long as you complete another year with Novartis by the end of May, you will get credit for that year (close only counts in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades).

It is hard to believe how stupid people are, no wonder this company is in so much trouble, if you can not grasp this simple concept regarding severance how could you be effective doing anything!!
