the better question might be who’s not leaving? Maybe not in two weeks, but when ever they can find something different.
kala is still interviewing. They have not finished final rounds.
Even though you are desperate, don’t bother with Kala. The reps at Shire are damaged goods. You are known as a bunch of cry babies by providers and throughout the industry. Not a good reputation to have and Shire is like a stain on your resume. Good luck out there!!
I always find it interesting that most reps only consider changing to the same therapeutic area. I plan on being out by the first of the year but of the 3 companies I’m in final stages with none are in my current area and one is t even in pharma. I interviewed with Kala and didn’t think it would be a good fit for what I was looking for in my next move. There are lots of opportunities out there and nothing says you have to stay in the same field you’re in now. It should be about joining the right company and if you’re good enough you can jump fields. There are lots of companies hiring out there right now and I would hope you would know how to sell yourself across multiple disciplines.
Kala, Dompe, EyePoint, and Ocular Therapeutics are all hiring between December - February. Kala seems like Sun 2.0 and not interested. The others seem more interesting to me. Shire OBU fate will be sealed by February but then all of these jobs will be filled. Why stick around for potential severance when these jobs will bump your pay anyway? Fools!

Unless I get official news that the entire upper management of the division is OUT, I would not stay. What a disappointment they have been. In fact, they should be ashamed. At least KK didn’t promise to be honest, fair, and transparent.

Got my goals. If I outsell Restasis across all lines of business (including med D) I will make my numbers! My share of commercial is way above the nation, in spite of all the step therapy and not covered plans. Doable?
