Which Field Positions Bring Value?

Agreed. TAM’s get the lowest pay and no respect, and yet they are the ones keeping the lights on! I would also agree we have no need for TLL’s. CRM’s, or this many FRM’s. Keep one or two FRM’s per ecosystem based on size. Too many HD’s know nothing, yet pretend they do. They all need to stay out of the way of the TAM’s.

None, this company’s head is so far up it’s own ass nothing productive ever happens. If you want to be paid well come here; if you want a fulfilling job go anywhere else and I mean anywhere … pretty sure my garbage man has more job satisfaction.

Out of curiosity…how much does your garbage man make? Going out on a limb, but guessing not as much as us?

The best thing Genentech did was cut the TAMS by 50% when creating the eco systems. We should cut another 80%, all they do is schedule lunch, hand out brochures and bitch about the no-see offices. We have TAMS who have been in their territories for years and know nothing about the business, market or customers - want proof - ask to see their non-existent business plans. Was with a TAM (what a joke they have "manager" in the title) at an office lunch - spent over 10 mins with a physician and DID NOT mention the product they were responsible for, the disease state or patients ONCE. What a joke! Now in the eco systems they can hide behind and blame another TAM for no growth. Most TAMS at Genentech cannot sell their way out of a paper bag - just ask any of them to role play (in a safe space) with you on anything about the product they are "selling", they won't know anything and cannot compete within any market - Oh, except those where we have NO competition - wow - it must be so hard selling a product with no competitor. We can safely get rid of Optha TAMS, Xolair TAMS, Lytics TAMS, IMMUN TAMS, Skin TAMS, Hemlibra TAMS, Tecentriq TAMS, Phesgo TAMS and sales would go up. Keep everyone else.

Fact: ophtha. TAMs don’t work as it is even with new launches, can’t say sales are climbing either

Tams are in offices while others are in pajamas.

Ophtha is the only team out there in the field, not sitting home in front of computer painting class, talking about vacation plans, on a eco call or having a team social event. Ophtha doesn’t have time for your worthless team building calls. Your former experience is no measure to what Ophtha is doing right now. You’re an overpaid tool.
