Nope, he's not here, he's not there, he's not anywhere! Poor Pyott, took big money and left you kool-aid drinkers with none.

Old article. Feb 2014, before Pyott and the Allergan board took Pearson out to the woodshed. Where's Pyott? I heard he's getting his race car ready to go fast out of the gate, before turning over the keys to Actavis next year. Look out, Pearson. There are going to be tire tracks over your ample backside.

Grape or cherry?
Keep drinking.
Keep dreaming.

I left AGN a few years ago when it finally sunk in that it was no longer the same old company I had grown up in and loved dearly. My biggest sorrow is for the few folks still there from the good old days. The ones, like you, who are believing everything they tell you. Blindly. One day that bubble of faith will burst. Your life will change as you finally realize all the things they told you was mere poop. Stinky poop.

Just curious, what caused the culture to change so drastically (as I've heard you and a couple others mention) over the past decade?

ALL Company cultures evolve and change. The reality is that any changes at Allergan were just a reflection of how the industry has changed over the years. Don't get me wrong, I hate working at Allergan but the term "culture" is very subjective so who knows what these morons are referring to...for a sales rep that could simply mean he didn't like the mgr or director for THAT specific division - its not representative of the entire sales force let alone the entire company. Most people, especially on CP, have incredibly small (and dark) minds. Quality insight from the majority of good employees is not likely here.

I am not a moron. Uncalled for. My mind is not small nor dark-and since you too are "posting on CP...
The culture changes at Allergan were somewhat a reflection of the industry, but industry changes do not and should not change "people" -who they are and how they act.
Many believe the changes started taking place when Gangoli came on board and brought many "big pharma" peeps with him. The "thinking" and "management" changed. We went from making calls that mattered to sample dropping signature counting reps overnight. It became more important to get 10 signatures than to get new business. Literally. I had upper managers ride with me and discussed this theory with them.
Over the last few years management decided to rid the company of more tenured reps-the manner it was done was the most outrageous and nasty thing I have seen in my professional life. I have been in this industry around 40 years. NASTY. these things never happened before.
I guess you had to be here to appreciate the difference. I was not a number. I was a valued part of the team. I remember getting a new product manager who would not talk directly with reps-what??? There were less than 200 of us-and he couldnt take a call or return an email? The previous product managers were always available and willing.
My new Regional Director refused to meet with our VIP accounts. Refused to do much of anything with field reps (not that any of us would have wanted him to-he was a true piece of work) other than threaten our livlihoods.
Oh well, quality insite from me is limited-especially after all my years in eyecare, with Allergan, and 90% of those years finishing in Leadership or President's Club.
I watched alot of positive changes over the years. The last few years i have been beyond disappointed in the leadership at Allergan. They have proved again and again to be of below average character.

No one wants to hear you whine and cry because you're upset Uncle AL just isn't the same anymore. This response exemplifies why you are a career salesperson and not in a leadership position. After many years in the eye care sales world (in your home, car or doctor's offices), you shouldn't be expected to understand the complexities and harsh truth of the real world.

Honestly, why did you ever think, at the end of the day, you are not just a number. Seems like your disenchantment stems from a fantasy world versus how cut throat this business can be. What makes you think that somehow AGN, as it has grown into full fledged big pharma over years, would stay the same relatively little place to work?

I know people with a similar attitude and it's very annoying. Enough of the sad-ass sales guy basically bullshitting about how how things should be run.

Last truth I will leave you with is if you do not like the status quo, work to change it or please leave because there are tens of thousands of others that will gladly take your place.

You are the problem. The people that are being hired now are ridiculously immatipure and overly full of themselves. You wouldnt know a Leadership Trip if they decided to take the whole darn sales force.

Guess you just slammed 98% of all pharma sales -most of us have no desire to be managers. I rule my fate each and every day and have been in Leadership more times than you have years in the industry. And, if ypu could get your snoot out of your ass, you would be able to read well enough to decifer that I left Allergan a few years ago. I am still in the industry. Consultant. Making quadruple what you will make in your best year anywhere. Own my company. Employ many others. None with your attitude, thank goodness.
After many years in Eyecare I DO understand the complexities well enough that I am well sought after in assisting customers solve their business problems. Living in the real woeld and loving it.
The 10s of thousands that want my old position can have it-in fact, they've turned over the territory 2 times already because the reps couldn't get off the bottom of page 2 rankings. So much for those new ypung reps!

Whose taking the shit they tell us to heart? There is nothing my employer could ever tell me that will change my life.

You were weak to begin with.

I guess the other little whiney bitches on this site can relate.
