Coming for a marketer near you...Transformation Phase II.
Why do we need all the marketing people when all Roche wants to do is contract with networks and government? We just need to rebate the GPOs, buy more dirty politicians and hire more lobbyists. Isn't it the grand plan from our brilliant and almighty BA? He is going to be the first CEO who can make a biotech company profitable without sales and marketing people.
That’s the point of the question. It’s obvious that there isn’t a need for as many marketers. When will the layoffs begin? How many people will be laid off? It’s probably not just marketers, but other internal employees as well.Why do we need all the marketing people when all Roche wants to do is contract with networks and government? Exactly, why does Home office hire Marketers from the same company in Europe and move them to South San Francisco, pay all those $$ when they can hire/find people in the US who can do the same job, all they that person does is still a rep or someones idea and then hire a vendor to do it. Why waste all that money hiring internally all the way from Europe, we have talent internally in the US and if not then I am sure we can find someone in the US from another company. Someone should check in with the Government and state that we have a lot of US Citizens that can do the same job, for same money and you don't have to move people at these level from so far, it's Marketing. We have a lot of marketing people in the US. I understand if it was a C-Suite exec but for senior managers?!When the home office staff started to out-number the field personnel, you know the days are numbered. Agreed, we have a lot of people getting fired and have talent here in the US, why have people from the same company come on a working Visa when we have millions of US residents and citizens looking for work and better yet looking to get promoted in the San Francisco, why bring a senior marketing manager and call them Global when they have no experience in the US market at all.Exactly! Finally, people are really getting WOKE.
75% of the marketers in SSF can be removed and we wouldn't even notice the difference.
