When is D day?

Does anyone know the take over date? Ted's mention of benefits being similar to Cadence doesn't sound too promising. How long will home office stay in San Diego? 6 months? Everyone there has got to be looking for a new job, including RSL. Who would leave San Diego to move to St. Louis?

Unfortunately we are going to lose a lot of good people. If they are smart they will act like they are open to moving to St. Louis until a recruiter lands them a nice job. Fortunately, California shouldn't be a problem finding comparable jobs.

Assuming he will go somewhere that is a start up and needs a sales force. I don't think it would be smart of Mallinckrodt to let him go so quickly. They have to know it would send a terrible message to the Cadence people. He may stay for the remainder of the year and then depart in 2015. Just a guess.

Maybe RSL can take us with him.

One thing that is 100% clear is RSL WILL NOT move out of California. This is a fact! Any thoughts of Mallinkcrodt keeping the San Diego office is a ridiculous suggestion. Now, there may be a period of 6 months to a year that they keep the San Diego office, but that will absolutely be it. Any and all home office employees that decide to stay, will have to move to St. Louis. Less than 5% will decide to stay. It's a guarantee that everyone in home office are working with recruiters and planning to leave. Most are not willing to leave San Diego to go to St. Louis.
And one more thing. If Mallinkcrodt decides to take the BIG PHARMA route with the sales force, they will all leave. This is a very skilled salesforce and they have plenty of options.

options...Maybe, but not at our current price. We may last a year or so, but things will change. This company has a history of contract reps and low pay. Get ready to interview for your job. I know, I know...We all think they'd be crazy to stir it up, but they will. We are too expensive, and to them, probably seem fat at 129/128 (whatever it is). When ZS associates come in they are not going to care how "specialized" we are. Good luck!

This is so true, we make too much money for selling a non technical drug.

Whoever was the idiot that wrote this comment clearly isn't a Cadence rep and has no clue what it takes to sell in a hospital environment. You're an idiot.

I see you are getting a little anxious about your job by name calling, a-hole. Yes, I have sold in an hospital environment for over 15 years with different products and different areas of the hospital with high success. For the last time, the drug is not technical, if you are fighting to sell the product after 3 years on the market you have to question the product since most great products either perform or not after awhile and you in there begging them to use does not make for a long term sales strategy. Wait until you get into the job market and employers find out what kind of salaries you have and you will be in for quite a shock. Not trying to be smart but salaries in this market have been going down for quite a few years unless you are selling something extremely technical. Selling this product does not make you more desirable in this job market, this is not the cure for cancer for Christ sake.

Like they said earlier - you're an idiot

Check out the cost of living in St. Louis!? To bad Randall missed out on stock options.

MNK does NOT have a history of contract reps. The very first time a contract rep was hired was with the recent (dec/jan) expansion did to the launch of XXR. Before that, MNK has always had its own sales force who drove fleet vehicles. Low pay? Pretty standard in the industry, but on par with small to mid-sized pharma. And yes, you guys make a lot compared to MNK.

Thanks for the info. Approximately how many MNK sales reps are there currently? Many of us want the fleet cars.

You sound like a Mallinckrodt rep! It may not be technical but we have to fight battles everyday and for what they pay in commission they better pay good salaries!!

Good luck getting anything that pays anywhere near what your getting here with this selling experience. Better start cutting down on the extra expenses now (mani-pedis, blowouts, Brazilians) while you have the chance, girls.

Spoke to Mallinckrodt rep today that sells the new pain drug. Says Mallinckrodt sucks! Worst experience. They have no clue how to launch a product. 4500 deductible in health insurance. Feels that career has just bottomed out with this company!!! Had to take job but wants to find something else ASAP!!! I know this person well. Hard worker and very honest !
