When does Eisai just cut its losses and pull out of the U.S.?

Look around with all talent departing and such limited commercialization opportunity.
A layoff is definitely warranted for 2015.
Sad to see demise of a once great company that valued patients first.

And let's be honest, hhc equals pr. Though I do think it is a lovely sentiment I also think many of us would rather be doing something else at this point. It was a good for corporate culture then, but now it is nothing more than a pr statement to whoever buys into it. Enough, Eisai. Get real and focus more on acquiring products that make money because if not, i'll be volunteering much more than three days a year because when you're out of work, volunteering is all you can really do.

And why do they keep the Andover site open? There's almost nothing left there. Eisai moved small molecule drug development back to Japan and to the spiffy new site in India. It's not even worth keeping the lights on in Andover.

In Oncology... Who hasn't left would be the easier question to answer.

Are there any reps in this division 5 years of oncology experience who didn't take the job because they were out of work from another company. There can't be more than a dozen reps left who were here when Eisai launched oncology by buying MGI.

And I think there were over 100 MGI reps when Japan overpaid for that company.

Thank You Japan! I am enjoying that $41 a share retirement program!

Has anyone actually heard that Eisai will be leaving the U.S. I know it's easy (and mostly deserved) to say Eisai sucks, but there are several people right now concerned for their jobs and how they will support their families.

Eisai is doing fine. Look at their stock price. There will be a mass market for Belviq after this change in out of pocket cost for self pay patients.

There's no question that there was a time when Eisai was doing a hell of a lot better than they are now.*To say that they were once a “great” company is a stretch.
*
Great companies develop, launch and manage lifecycle exceedingly well (on their own and not relying heavily on Big Pharma partners), have the ability to recruit and retain world class talent, and generate share performance that consistently beats sector averages.
*
How many of the above has Eisai done?

Hold on to your jobs as long as you can and keep your ear to the wall as well. If we're so afraid of when they're going to cut their losses, don't you think we should minimize ours and do what we can for our future? Of course we should. So keep your job, your ear to the wall and look forward to a future where you may have some more control of the situation.

Former MGI who bailed from Eisai. Some did better than others, some moved to other companies, some were laid off. Lots of good, experienced reps on this list. what they all have in common... they all left Eisai Oncology and you probably should too.

Seriously, I thought a lot of David T, now just disappointed.
Can't keep the good ones (Laferty, Lanza and so many others, promotes (TB- garbage) or moves the trash around - Mark is a good example of no job, no skills, just a PC phoney

Original long list was all MGI. Lanza, one of the last MGIllionaires to leave..
If you want to include non-MGI who bailed we can start with the entire MSL force turning over in the last year or so. Kinda hard to defend idiotic study protocols.

We can add:
Myers - BMS
Nickerson - BMS
Hall - Gilead
Lanza BTW was TESARO
Anyone else???
