What's Up With This Company?

Why would you say it is a tough sell? Because you can't sell?

Spoken like a douche who cannot and never will sell. ANYONE who has sold understands that challenges vary in a selling environment. The greater the challenges, the greater the compensation. You pay good money, you get closers like me. You pay shit, you get...well...you get douches like you.

My point exactly. For me, there is no such thing as a "tough sell". Only people who have no idea how to sell use the phrase "tough sell". Maybe sales isn't your thing.

Because you've never sold. You are some pharma douche that thinks pharma is sales. 100% commission is sales. Forget the caddie, you couldn't even walk away with the steak knives.

OK tough guy. I'm willing to bet that you have never been 100% commission in your career. If so what are you doing here. They offer a very high base. But your right..if your not 100% commission your not selling. You would probably turn down the base because your so good. Go back to your telemarketing job DOUCHE.

Nice try squint. I made my bones on 100% commission while you were playing grab ass with the other boys on the playground. I have a friend who wanted my .02 on this company. The going rate for a top biotech rep is about 125K base. Sure, you could get a POS Abbott or BMS rep for less. You get what you pay for. Like I said, without great leadership to do a great dog & pony show and top comp. for talent the drug and company will go nowhere. Now go refill my tea and leave us players alone!

Well at least your friend is getting his money worth.
Your a tea drinker..big surprise.

Bullshit. You don't need to be 100% commission to sell despite your stupid Glenngarry Glenross references. Those guys were a-holes just like you. This is a great oppurtunity for a lot of people, maybe not for me, maybe not for you. But if you're going to bust someone's balls for wanting to make good money, you are a bitter prick!

Why does everyone have to be so fucking negative. So someone thinks it may be a tough sell--so what. Some products are harder to sell than others--regardless of one's selling abilities. Geez people--eaze the fuck up.

Didn't mean to quote post #11. You are not the negative peeps I am talking about. It's the other banter. You are correct--may not be for me, may not be for you but good for someone!!

ANY job is a good job these days and in this industry. Most people would kill for jobs that pay what ours do...get real. Besides, the guys in Glengarry Glen Ross were a bunch of dirtbag telemarketers selling questionable home improvements. If that's who tough guy is comparing himself to, I say fine and glad it's not me.

I spoke to a few rheumatologists, they are excited amd can't wait for this drug for gout. Another treatment option for patients

of course they are going to say that. That is because they are unfamiliar with the data. Once they see that 90% of patients build antibodies ot the drug, they will sing a different tune. This drug will be a rescue therapy and used as a last resort because , once you use it, you can't use it again.

Same here. Agreed. but big ouch today: sav just got a crl letter from fda, looking to maybe resubmit bla for K in early 2010. Not good news.

the stock is going into the sewer on monday morning, even though the drug and company looks to have potential, but that potential won't be occurring until after several more months of delay, and no incoming cash from K to cover expenses.

Regarding post #8 you are dead wrong. Good buy and bill biologic reps are lucky to make 110,000 base...that is if they still have a job. I have hired some of the best out there and trust me very few make 125,000 base. This would be a great job and a step up fpr most reps selling biologics. No pods, true biotech, one of a kind drug and a chance to have ownership in the company (options).

Been hearing a buzz they are hiring a sales force. This drug looks like a tough sell so I hope they have great sales leadership and top compensation. Otherwise....

Only people who want to come here are out of work. This includes sales reps, sales mgrs, acct mgrs. Why - because it is a huge risk to work here.

very good post. i was in the candidate process until the fda whammy 2 weeks ago. was psyched up for this one but on to explore other things for now.

if you're a svnt mgr, what do you see happening over next few months?. I won't bother asking you to post up how the field mnmgt team keeps itself busy now with no product and no sales force for short-mid term
