What's the time frame on an LOC?

I've been hearing it come up a lot. How long do you have to find a new job once you get an LOC?

It depends, if you're the only one on your team to get one it's bad. As said, 90 days until official warning. Watch every single word you say and every little thing you do. Once you get that warning things that were okay before are now potentially negatives that will appear on your evaluation. Be careful, document everything, don't give ANY ammunition that can be used against you. An eyebrow raise, joke, comment, anything not perfect you say to a doc or in an office, administrative mistakes, talking to your colleagues can burn you big time. Do your partners have your back? If they truly do ask them to say positive things about you to their dm and team if you've earned it (nothing phony or over the top-if they think you've earned it).
I took it over a year but it was nightmare. If had chance to do over I would have started looking once I got loc.

Yes, once you're an LOC everything you say and do will be noticed. Your manager/field trainer will be looking for ways to get rid of you and put you under a microscope. Anything good you do will be glossed over. Very few people survive and LoC...just ask the hospital team.

Yup. Welcome to the club. 3 months LOC. 3 months LOW. 3 months probation. Then your done. Start looking now. Check your benefits. Legitimate medical leave is possible due to the stress of this scenario. Document with your physician. And watch everything you do. Expect your field ride scores to drop slowly. Expect your 2 day field ride to center around one "bad" call with no mention of "good" calls. Tactfully a d professionally defend this and document.

And for fun you can ask your manager to show you what good looks like. Then ask if you did anything RIGHT during any of your calls. Finally, tell them you are clear on what the manager DOESN'T want and would love clarification on what the manager DOES want. He/She won't be able to articulate what they want you to do, only what they don't, but you are screwed anyways so make them uncomfortable too.

OP here. What is the survival rate once you're on an LOC. Is it a legitimate motivational tool that can work? I do not want to lose my job.

I would say 5% especially if you're the only one. I would just half ass this job with Forest and start looking while pretending you're giving it your all. If you still haven't found a job yet by the time your on final warning, I would take medical leave for stress. Do this for as long as possible and continue searching. Do not comeback until you've found something. Don't give your manager the satisfaction of making you grovel for your job. He/she will probably fire you anyway.

This is absolutely the truth. Forest has had so many claims for short term disability you'd think they would figure it out. Don't feel bad filing for it. All it takes is for your Doc to sign a few forms and prescribe Xanax. It is truly their way of making your life hell and your time to get looking for a new job

You can out work a LOC. I did. Every situation is different. Looking back I might have saved a lot of personal and family anguish had I just left. If you want to document everything you do and how long it takes you to do it and give your DM daily examples of how you are improving on points in the letter you can do it. Eventually you become just as much of a pain to them as they are to you.

Yeah, but you'll have to sell your soul. Do you want to spend more of your life "working out" an LOC or warning than anything else including sleep, time with your family, accomplishing anything you can take pride in???? I wish I could do it over-there's NO way i'd make that mistake again. It damn near killed me, took away my identity, any feeling of competence or ability. It was horrible.

But if you look at the first part of the statement they say they'd do it differently because he had to sell his soul to work out of it. I think they are saying if you want to miss time with your family and cause strife with your spouse you have a shot. But ONLY if you have a rare manager that will even LET you work your way out of an LoC

So basically you have 6-9 months of paid time to job hunt or can they abruptly fire you sooner?

That is absolutely correct. However, be perfect with your expenses and samples, because that can get you fired immediately. They will be looking at those in hopes of "speeding-up" the process.

I got out of one LOC by stepping-down from a specialty position. Then, a year later I received another LOC and there was NO WAY I was going to get out of that one. It was the worst experience of my life. They make you feel worthless & beat down...leaving your self-esteem in the gutter. I really think I went through PTSD. Three years later I still have to remind myself sometimes that the people I work with now are good people and aren't out to ruin my career and life. FRX is a soul-sucking bastard of a company. Leave as soon as you can and be happy to escape with what's left of your integrity.

You guys are out of your minds...this is the easiest job I've ever had for the most amount of money. The LOC made your life hell and stole your identity???? Shut the F up loser. So what, for once in your privileged pathetic life you actually had to work 8 hours and document it and actually justify your acions during your work day? WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD...

Suck it up or get the F out of here

Exhibit Nuber 1 for those who doubt the insidious nature of Forest. They have the highest turn over rate in the industry for a reason. This poster has obviously never been singled out. Look at how many PC winners get put on a LoC within 24 months. The Corporate philosophy has always been churn and burn. It's worked fairly well for them but they will never be able to play with the Big Boys until they correct their turn over issue. While Forest boasts of their big cash reserve what good does it do and how much more could they have if they didnt need to keep the training Dept running full out training new employees?

When you're on an LOC you have a very slim chance of surviving it. Is that slim chance worth your self esteem? Do you want to suck up like a bitch to your idiot boss or would you rather go out like a champ? Take the medical leave, play some golf and get another job. Your self esteem is yours forever, this job is not.

I can totally relate. Three years later I am still continuously watching behind my back, like I had to do at Forest. PTSD? At current job it is unbelievable how much we sell without the BS, lies, and pure evil. Turns out there is a whole different world of medical sales that is cordial, respectful, caring, family-oriented, genuine, and has real managers that trust. We do tens of billions more than Forest too. Get out now folks. Let some 20 something year old get abused.

Not true at all. All of my partners have been here 5+ years and have never made PC. yet they're still here not "churn and burned" like this degenerate claims.
