What/When was the beginning of the end for Merck?

• Too many reps in territory selling same product
• Managers who supported false call reporting numbers to make themselves look good
• Vioxx lack of transparency (trust?)
• Massive layoffs followed by manager placement to positions they were ill suited for
• Culture of 'yes' rather than truth
• Over reliance on legality and politically correct (bringing lobbyists to sales meetings?)
• Science used to rule the company!
