Drug is supposed to be approved on Aug 21st. Not sure what the holdup is but I wouldn't wait if you have something else. Maybe they have gotten a sense that it won't be approved. Its not PSS its Pfizer that is pulling the strings. This has happened recently with other companies. It is a risk to hire people before a drug is approved. Most of the offers are contingent. Happened at Ironwood and another company recently.

YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED ANYTHING YET, JUST BECAUSE THEY VERIFIED YOUR EMPLOYMENT, THERE IS STILL ONE MORE INTERVIEW.

Has any one been to a "Meet and Greet" with a client manager? I just wish we would get an idea from either PSS or the client on when the actual hire date and training will be......

If you are going to the next phase, you would have been contacted by the recruiter by now. There is a hold up, not sure when the meet and greet part will happen. Just have to wait.

I think this is a really screwed up contract. Communication is sparse and not really telling people anything. WOnder if this drug is even going to get approved. I think i am going to move on.

When I was on the last Pfizer contract, I found I was alot happier not expecting much communication about anything. My RFC and Pfizer counter-parts didn't know much more than I did, and I doubt the Pfizer DBM knew much of anything going on until the last minute.

It can be stressful when you need to know important things, like will I have a job 2 months from now?

I spoke to recruiter today. Final interview(meet and greet) has now been put off until August 20th or later!!!
I would not wait around for this job.

The drug isn't supposed to be approved until the 21st so I guess they want to play it safe.
WHy spend all the time and money to interview and extend offers when it might not be approved. I guess they can move quickly if it does get approved. I wouldn't hold my breath

Read the Pfizer qtr 2 info that came out today - looks like the approval is expected to be delayed beyond August due to FDA requesting more information and not having enough time to review. Sorry for all of you who are waiting on this, but don't hold your breath that you will have an offer any time soon.

Pfizer CEO Ian Read said Tuesday that the FDA requested additional analysis of clinical data used to support its application for approval of the experimental rheumatoid arthritis (RA) drug tofacitinib. The company said it plans to provide the FDA with the information in early August, but anticipates regulators may require more time for their review beyond the original August 21 decision date.

The New York-based company also said it plans in early August to submit a new analysis of tofacitinib data that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration requested. That will almost certainly push back the agency's Aug. 21 target date for an approval decision.
FDA advisers in May voted 8-2 to recommend approval of the drug, but the agency later requested the data analysis.

3 more months

"We started investigating this product 20 years ago, so another three months is not that important," Chief Executive Ian Read said in an interview.

Guarantee that they start the interview process all over. Most people are not going to stick around waiting for this for at least 3 months. Its not that great of a job.

They shouldn't have to do that. If candidates chosen for final interview now still want the opportunity in November. I'm sure many will move on but some will stay where they are until then. 90 days isn't that long. Who knows though they may scratch the whole thing. Big waste of time and money to scratch it all.

Big waste of time maybe but money....seems they haven't spent much.
I have seen this happen before. The people without jobs now will move on and probably have another job before this drug is approved.

I called the verification company that Publicis uses to request copies of all data received on my application. I was surprised to find that it had not been sent in. The service rep told me that Publicis has everyone that could potentially be hired submit all info, however only the ones offered the job will have the credit etc. check done. They save time, but not money as the verification company does not do everyones!!
