What Roche Legacy Reps Will Miss The Most.....

We used to sell "Products that matter, from people who care." We used to be an integral part of the medical process and medical community, whether conducting JCAHO programs or working with clinical pathways...we made a difference. We had some great products, had stack of trials we were able do use and nurses used to get nursing credit when we did in-services on subjects like conscious sedation. Life or death if you get it wrong. Doctors respected us.

Management decisions seemed to make sense. Poor managers, reps would eventually disappear. You had a general sense that things were being competently managed.

We mattered, we were good and we cared...

It has been said that you die like you live. I intend to go with dignity and gratitude for the good people I have come to know. My prayers for all of us...

I have been out of Roche, and the business, for awhile but this was beautiful; well done. I miss the good people I worked with, the excitement of transplant particularly, the great metorship, the camaraderie.

Nicely said poster #25. I am sure we are from the same era of the company. I can relate to everything you said. It makes me sick to hear all these negative, cynical, probably 5-10 year reps talk like they remember "the good old days". They call us all dinosaurs, but we gave pride and dignity to our profession and we were rewarded quite nicely for it. I know this is just some gripe board for mostly angry people like the Gtroll, but it is refreshing to see a few positive posts like yours. This thread was titled "What Roche Legacy reps will Miss the most... so you can see who is bitter and negative by their tone--pretty sure they are not Roche, but Gtechs posing. Those people are the ones Roche Legacy Reps (like me) will miss the least. They call them specialists.....ya, their special all right
