What really happend in Vegas

Genentech has been having their meeting in Vegas at the Venetian for years and will be going back for the next few, and they are twice our size. Apparently they don't seem to have issues with reps or managers messing up. Maybe some of our people just aren't mature enough to handle it?! It's a business trip, not a vacation. Only difference is that we can tip a few back nightly and guess who is doing who.

Speaking of maturity, anyone who says " Only difference is that we can tip a few back nightly and guess who is doing who." isn't very mature. That statement alone is an indictment of the maturity level as well as why the Vegas is a horrible place.

When we are in Salt Lake City, we do the same thing - drink and gossip. That happens everywhere, you must not be in the circle of trust.

Every BU has a semester meeting for each one. Ours was canceled last year, don't you remember? This year, the S2 comp plan, tweaking of the sales aid, etc will be presented.

another wastful meeting coming in July? Why can't we just have a web-ex or something? I guess they don't want us in the field much of July. What is SO earth-shattering that we need to have another week long meeting just six months after our last one? Unbelievable!

Its called the bozo's in training and marketing need to justify their worthless jobs. Lets go to Florida and role play. OMG are you kidding me? How about lets use the technology i.e.webex ect to be able to stay in the field. I guess the number of sales calls we make really doesnt matter.
