What mess did SP hide from us?

Back in the 2004 timeframe incentive comp was incredibly FAT (like in a way that you can't believe) at SP.... you better believe that people were selling off-label!!

You must be very proud then. I only hope you didn't subject any patients to unnecessary risk and expense because of your off-label hype. But you must be very proud.

And there you have how it caught the DoJ's attention. Outrageous comp on volume for regulated product is like a bacon trail for hungry dogs. Idiots.

SP was overbloated??? Are you kidding me? I have never seen an organization as overbloated and inefficient as Merck. To get anything done in HQ, it takes 20 people 3 times as long as it would have at SP. SP would have had maybe 5 doing the same project. Seriously.

How many Merck managers does it take to change a light bulb?
1 to set up a light bulb meeting
10 to attend
1 to "post" that changing the light bulb is a good idea
9 others to agree to changing said light bulb
1 person to fill out a form to start the light bulb changing process
1 person to approve said light bulb change
1 person to change the light bulb
10 to meet again to discuss how wonderful the new light bulb is and how Merck is at the forefront of lighting needs
1 to suggest ways that the light bulb might be changed better in the future
1 to forward the email to their bosses to make sure they get recognized for their contribution to changing the light bulb

If you fucking think this is not what really happens with EVERYTHING, you are sadly mistaken. I would have had my ass handed to me if I didn't get shit done the way shit doesn't get done at Merck at SP. So criminal activity happened? It's basically at the same time you clowns were getting investigated for Vioxx so get off of your high horses and STFU.

You had to buy us because you ass clowns couldn't get shit done on your own. And if you're letting SP folks go, its simply the way all mergers work. Don't act like you bought some inferior company. We're more employable than you ass clowns anyway. Like anyone of you could get a job faster than us? You don't even make sense with your corporate speak and your poor decision making. Go to hell. I've never been so pissed at a thread in my life.

- Not from SP, but I truly appreciate your analogy. I am amazed every day that this is a mega pharma company.... Hello right hand! Meet left hand! Such a shame. Such astronomical waste.
