What is the future for Linvatec?

What is the future of Linvatec when we can't even keep a series of threads going here on CafePharma?

Damn, is this company dead? Imaging to Mexico and rumors of Engineering being offshored to India! Sounds like we are being managed to fail.

You know, I was just reviewing these old comments and it occured me that JD in his opening comments at his first sales meeting stated that in 2013 Linvatec would be dominating sports medicine. I am so pumped up right now and can't wait for us to come back and rule sports medicine like he said we would.......So Joe when do we start rolling out those innovative new products? I bet maybe the easter bunny will bring them, right?

how pathetic and irrelavant we have become. It is almost embaressing to tell other reps I run into that I am still with Linvawreck

I'm still here just milking it until something better opens up near me. I don't want to move and putting in the minimum still has me doing good enough not to get canned.

ALMOST embaresing? You are better off than many of us, I was just talking to one of my friends here and we agree that the sooner anyone can escape the better. I have an interview next week and am willing to take less money just to get out.

You might want to consider checking your spelling once in a while, but none of that will matter shortly. If you go over and read the S\N page of cafepharma it appears there are going to be some big layoffs coming soon there. This, of course, will allow JD to bring in another wave of his cronies to manage Linvawreck into the same model that has S\N in the position they find themselves.

JD, who is that? Oh, you mean Joe Darling! Haven't seen him in Largo in ages.

I hope you interviewed well and got out. As for the rest of us, look over at the threads on the S/N page of CP and behold our future as JD and his importation of S/N rejects and losers continues to drag Linvawreck down to the same fate.

What a sales meeting...with all of the product launches I'm slightly more confident. Let's see when they can deliver.

Finally, someone with somthing positive to say. I can't recall the last positive comment on the Linvawreck site. What exactly makes you more confident? I am really interested as this follows so much doom and gloom.

This company is on the up and up! just left the sales meeting and there is seriously no other company that is poised to grow amid the changing medical device market. MTF! MTF has the best reputation in the whole orthopedic market! Here comes Linvatec!

Lets be truthful, and I'm sorry to burst your myopic bubble. You could be given the cure for cancer but it would die on the vine because the leadership doesn't get it and doesn't care. Rag rah rah...I get it......guess what, there are other other companies hat do what MTF does...just as well and at a lower price.

Did they get you new batteries for the power yet?

It is true. Rich is leaving so that he can go to another company and not communicte with anyone. As for who is at the helm, do you think it will make any difference? JD will hook up one of the S/N retreads and Linawreck will continue to slide down the rathole, after all we are a S/N wanna be.

You’re a pathetic whiner. Were out here on the streets everyday competing against Arthrex, Medtronics, Styker and every other med device companies that is trying to kick us to the curb because of high product cost, lame new product innovation, the med device tax and you’re complaining because you have to work to earn your pay check. We don’t care where the product is manufactured as long as the product and margins are good. I hear there is a city in Mexico named after a Mexican dog that could do your job and a city in China named Shenzhen that manufactures med device products for a lot less cost, maybe you should learn Spanish or Mandarin. It’s pathetic individuals like you who drove the electronics and auto industries out of this country, keep complaining and we’ll need a story to explain why the product box says made in Mexico. I hope your manager fires your lazy a** before my kids have to learn Spanish, maybe someone can light a fire under you. Take your toilet paper and go whine at another company or to your mommy.

Another Conmed Linvatec VP resigns. This company will never compete with the Stryker's and the Arthrex's of the world with high turnover and layoffs that they have become so popular for.

There's hardly anyone left in Largo! It's also amazing how these new product manager positions now cover 2 or 3 different product category, where there used to be 1 product manager per product category. Not to mention, most of the product managers are now each responsible for a segment of MTF. What a disaster this is going to be! Take R.S for example. He was the Global Hall Power manager, who after 2 years on the job, still doesn't know shit about the product. Now they make him the Group Director for all Capital Equipment. How the hell is he supposed to handle that?
