What is the (former) bioinformatics culture like?

I ask because some *extremely* dysfunctional clowns in bioinformatics, including your former VP of bioinformatics (a bonafide dumb megalomaniac), and his boot-licking frat boy club showed up as a bunch at this other company that I am at. These are not even the most experienced people in the field (including your bozo VP). The first thing he set out to do together with these clown frat boys of his club - set up an inner circle and start throwing weight around. From day one, these incompetent members of the frat club started sabotaging others' work (literally), and put their names on it!

Something doesn't feel right with this group, and it has only been a couple of months!

Any insights on what to watch out for?

Amin Mazloom is an ultra-dumb, pathetic, megalomaniac. Nothing more, nothing less.
Never heard of this fellow in the Bioinformatics space. Not sure why he has such a bloated ego. Poor scum!

Only at a filthy company like Progenity can fools like him be over-promoted to VP roles in Bioinformatics. Else, he is definitely NOT a known entity in Bioinformatics. Look at his track record - Sequenom and Progenity. Two junk companies that no longer exist and with no great products to account for. The poor bastard is busy promoting Progenity's less-than-stellar product like the next biggest thing, and like there are no market competitors for that product!

People should STOP hiring absolute JUNK like him in the Bioinformatics industry. He is garbage.
