What is really going on?

It's not hard to figure out. Revenue is shrinking, so too must costs. We WILL remain profitable One way or the other. It's business plain and simple. No one knows exactly what it will look like but it is safe to say there will be fewer reps in 2013.
 












Shire is a big fat joke. The best thing that could happen is if reps were let go. The company is a cult and even those that oppose management are still drinking the kool-aid because you are the ones that are afraid to leave the company. Shire has scared everyone into thinking that the market sucks, but "we're still growing". Truth is they tell that to you so you don't complain. Wake up, you're living in the Matrix.
 


















The problem is Yasick. He has been a complete failure as our leader. Speaking as an RD, my reps bought into him immediately. Since taking over he has fired or run off every person that understood the ADHD market or cared about this company. He hired a PGM and was then overruled by his boss and forced to terminate that PGM. He forced Casto to hire Jacobs who was terminated. He forced Casto to hire Clarissa who is killing our company. He created a culture of bottom up lmanagement which encouraged RDs and Reps to bypass their direct manager and call him with concerns. He increased our costs by forcing us to hire pharmaceutical reps because they would be more successful. Now our products are flat and we are going to be forced into making cuts. His currents PGMs can't stand each other or work together. My top performing reps make less money than ever. Has anyone even bothered to look at the Vyvanse marketshare growth since he took the position? Six months ago we were told about all of the opportunity that would come with being a CNS business unit. Now I am watching all of my peers being shifted to other groups because of a restructuring. I haven't even mentioned the disaster that he left for our friends in GI.

Best post I have ever read on this site. Mike Yasick has destroyed this company and brought some horrible employees into our company.

Thinks about this, how many times did Yasick show us on stage how great the future was for Shire. He showed sales projections through 2015. Our pipeline was strong, our future was bright. So what's happening now? Rumors of layoffs, vacant RD positions not getting filled, vacant rep positions remaining vacant and turmoil in the marketing department. How can Shire fall apart so quickly...what happened? Why are we not hiring new ZD's? Vyvanse is flat and there is no real competition fighting us. All signs point to our leader...Mike Yasick. This is his creation.

Better get your ranking improved ASAP. Even MORE important is sucking up to your RD. Odds are they will have some final input and it is human nature to keep your buddies if you can.

RD's will not have any say. Most important is to protect your self. If you in an area like MINN or MASS or another area that has been hit with managed care, you better think about your position. If your ranking is low, then look.

RD's are just an extension of sales. There are over 15 RD positions available right now.

Doesnt Shire understand that with the uncertainty no one works as hard? Waiting only prolongs the rumor mill and frustration.

Sorry to say, but I don't think we need 550 reps. My access sucks so bad that I can only see like 4-5 docs per day. We have too many reps that are just milking Shire.
