What Factors Lead to the Demise

As you know there had to be a multitude of factors which lead to the company's failure. A company this large had to have simultaneous actions which brought it down…its; like The Perfect Storm. Please contribute what you thought were major blunders by our management.

The Emperors New Suit………..all kiss butt management style if you told the truth you were classified as dangerous and a threat to the prevailing idiocy.

1. Obsessive diversity
2. Destroying research
3. A stupid and neutered board of directors
4. Foreign senior management
5. Fraudulent and dishonest promotion of Zyprexa
6. Third world treatment of employees
7. Arrogant senior management
8. Loss of focus on diabetes
9. Outsourcing
10. Six Sigma
11. MBA's instead of science degrees
12. Kissing Obama's a$$ to help pass ObamaCare
 




Biomeds is a hell hole. Job openings all over the country due to reps getting the heck out. Other divisions just as bad. Diversity and promoting people due to the fact they are dumber than their leaders and won't speak up is what ruined this company. This Lilly diversity experiment is a HUGE step back for the diversity cause. When that is the ONLY reason people were retained and promoted that set their cause back 100 years. I have worked for mgt of different races and cultures that were amazing. The difference is that their race and culture was NOT the only reason they were promoted. This time it was and everyone knows it. That set their movement back decades. Thanks Lilly leadership. Nice job. Now even people who deserved their promotions will be looked at as not deserving it because of the idiotic way that placed people into roles that they were not qualified for. That helped no one. Especially the people you put in those roles. Was it to over compensate for the law suit you settled? That would be my guess. Not that you will tell the truth....you never do anymore. All you had to do was listen to the new mgt open their mouths at the national meeting. It isn't fair for AA and DR to destroy the reputations of diversity candidates who deserved their promotions by filling all the other positions win diversity candidates who didn't.

Hope for comfort care now and any pain meds to help ease what we are all experiencing from the cancer that won't stop.

This is SO true! I don't understand how senior leadership doesn't see this!! If anyone says anything contrary to what senior leadership says and they tell their manager, AD's etc.. They are blackballed!
 




DR's arrogance in thinking he's good at business and that he can run a company without sales reps. He has no respect for people, integrity or excellence. No one else's opinions except his count. Bringing in his 'Canadian Cabinet' who know nothing about doing business in the US to lead Lilly through this era. Big, mistake. Big mistake.

Then there is AA political puppet who is completely incapable of showing one ounce of compassion, empathy or ability to interact with other human beings in a normal way. Not a clue how to lead Biomeds. If I have to hear about how he was head legal on the Bush hanging chad debacle I'm going to throw up. When he speaks, all I hear is Charlie Brown's teacher's voice. Wa wa wa wa wa .....

JL. Where has he been hiding? Did he just give the keys to DR and run off to the Caymans or something. JL, don't know if you took the time to notice but 50% of your US sales force was cut and more and more talent is leaving every day.

NV quoted as saying in a large public speech: 'if you don't like it here at Lilly, just leave'. Nice example of 'Engagement' and 'Respect for People'. Directly out of the mouth of one of DR's minions.

I could go on and on. It's really a shame to see how these incompetent people could screw up a good thing so badly.
 




We have lost 8 great reps from my area in 7 weeks and we already had openings. Who is going to market these medications? Source Force? What good sales reps are going to stay at this company with our horrible leadership? This is a nightmare.

We continue to lose many by the groves in biomeds and I hear Oncology is a ghost town. We are now known in the industry to have talent as low class as Forest.... Thanks "leadership"..

Remember management couldn't be found before or after the lay off especially the big guy.
 












No leadership from JL down to the DM's... This place was once great and I was proud to be apart of it. Now, it's hardly a shell of itself. The only thing growing at Lilly is the Canadian influence.... "Oh Canadaaaaaaaa"
