What does AstraZeneca stand for?

AZ is a profit making coming only accountable to its shareholders. Yeah they spout "patients health first" and all the other crap but if that was true the drugs wouldn't be so damn expensive. I laugh when I read this thread and read what reps say about the company. It's funny how they call the kettle black. Let's face it the vast majority of reps are lazy as hell and in this job for the salary, freedom and benefits. Yeah it's boring as hell and we get treated like crap from customers but overall a great gig. Most reps couldn't care less except when they get out of this work. I'm in this camp. It's just a job. I'm not part of the healthcare community. I'm here for what I stated above. Once you learn this is all a game and how to keep off the radar you stop caring about this stuff. I'm no social worker and neither are you. Cash the check, grow up and stop worrying about what the company is all about they pay us great for not much effort.

Here’s what you do: every time you go into an office, pretend you are dipping your hands into a bucket of money….wait, no, that’s an unethical thing to think about. Instead, don’t worry about the fact that COVID has shut everything down (May 2020) just do whatever it takes to get in front of your customers. Meet them in the parking lot, go to their back door….yes! Now that’s an ethical thing to do!!!

What’s funny is that if I cut and pasted this rant and emailed it to everyone at AZ, I’d probably be fired for that. But senior leadership can bully reps and push for off label promotions and force AZ to pay out millions of dollars in lawsuit rewards, and nothing happens to them? WTF?!!!

So they paid a measly 2.4 million, and maybe some legal fees. By promoting off label on a wide basis, let's say a regional basis, they probably sold a lot more Symbicort than they would have through ethical promotion. And the extra profits paid for this and then some. AZ sees it as just another cost of doing business.

Here’s a question for all of you: if you go to the back door, can you still reach into the money bucket and pull some cash out? Answer: Hell yes!!
