Years ago I was a naive, fresh-faced sales rep. Came into this feeling really good and was getting quite a few accounts. One day, vt calls me up and says she was told by someone else who had informed another person I might have said something not flattering about mdl. did you read what i said? i had to pull over. I thought it was either the Spanish Inquisition or Gestapo. The point is for me.........I never said anything negative about mdl. I asked if the person who started all this could be put on a conference call with vt and myself. VT then asked me if i'm working another job on the side. Ok.......now I was really confused and sad because i knew then vt was not the person i was hoping she'd be and mdl was too tainted with vt's personality.

i was making good money there in the beginning, but i think i was asking too many questions. i was having dinner with my in-laws one night and i was showing them the website and talking about what it is i did there. when i clicked on careers page.........lo-and-behold......vt had posted a vacancy for my position. i was completely blind-sided. when monday rolled around i called hr. clueless. so i quit making sure hr knew why. em? stereotypical semitic. gives the rest of them a bad name. ONLY cares about putting money in his pocket. he makes bad business decisions. the fact vt is still there shows this. vt is an immature monster running amok with impunity.

It wasn’t always this bad. Back in the day when BD was the director of sales we loved our jobs, we loved MDL, had fun, worked hard and was compensated well for our efforts. That all changed the second VT got BD fired and took over sales. She lied to EM about BD and got him fired. MDL was growing and we were proud to work there. VT changed all that and yet EM just doesn’t seem to recognize what VT has done to his company.

I heard the same thing about vt orchestrating behind the scenes to get bd fired. VT reminds me of the high commander Anna from the series V. even when bd was there vt was a regional manager and was a nightmare to work with. constant back-stabbing. making things up about people. i felt like i was back in middle school. em honestly doesn't care. he only wants more money to fund his other pet projects and line his pockets. if he cared he'd talk privately to his reps. of course vt would fire anyone em took a liking to.
 






MDL is its own worse enemy! I left over 6 months ago and I am getting calls from prospects about not showing up for lunches. MDL does not even have the common decency to cancel the lunches! Why does this company even Think that they are competing with a Labcorp or Quest. All they are is a nuisance similar to a gnat! Continue to keep the same playbook and MDL will be history within a year. As far as my customers, I tell them exactly why they didn’t show up for the presentations. MDL- class act!

i quit mdl and began working at another lab. the other reps at my current lab always give me a hard time for having worked at mdl. i was told i was quite lucky to get hired because mdl has such a terrible reputation. i feel so sorry for all of the other reps who still work there.
 






what is really sad is that most of the sales force think they are actually performing the way a medical lab SHOULD perform, being lead by managers that have absolutely no proper training other than going to New Jersey and memorizing ‘——-, how could you have made this call better?’ Most of them would be better off back at Starbucks or the copier department they came from! Get out while there is still time!

not being started. it already has begun. probably they'll ask former and current employees some questions. make no mistake......this WILL go back to vt. maybe she'll get behind bars. she always looked in stripes and orange. meanwhile......em STILL supports her and will find himself in very deep federal waters. i hope they both get what they deserve.
 












That's crazy. Currently with MDL and about to place two week notice after receiving another job offer. Anyone know how the exit process works? I've heard they just fire you after you place your two weeks. Or will they keep you on to let client know, cancel lunches, etc.

That depends on if VT liked you or not. In most cases they let you go immediately. But, don’t expect to get paid your commission.

and........based on your experience working at mdl how was their level of professionalism? maybe your special and it won't happen to you, but to most reps who put their 2 weeks in to be professional.......vt had them fired. they did not get any of their commission. place is a joke. tell me.....after setting up a new account how long did you receive commission on it? 1 year? did you always make quota? how do they pay for gas? company cc? back in the day......they gave us $250 per month. they put a cap on much we could drive. we had to put mdl on our car insurance. list goes on......and on......and on. last question.......why are you leaving?
