Or... Your hiring manager offered to another who has not accepted yet so they don't want to call you because you still may be offered the position if the person they offered it to declines. They have until this Friday to give a final decision. Good luck. If you haven't heard yet you are probably still potentially in the running because the person they offered the job to has not yet accepted.

And this is supposed to make me feel like I was treated with respect? What a third rate operation. No thanks. Alkermes could have handled this much differently and kept things very quiet. I already heard through the big mouths who was given offers. Get real. We're sales people. No one keeps quiet. Even the texting that was happening with some candidates and not others wasn't kept private.

This isnt true in my case. I found out that another person got the offer through the grapevine.

No that's exactly what I said. I have had zero contact- one way or another. I had to find out from someone who got the job. Impressive managers at Alkernes. Please share the hiring profile they are using for managers so I can make sure to veto that program.
 


















I echo what #20 said.....the most unprofessional process I have ever been through in nearly 20 years. I found it interesting they were looking for experienced reps but ending up treating the candidates and the process like we were recent college graduates. And for the record, I was offered and accepted one of the positions.
 






The manager in Oklahoma told me I did great on the panel interview but the candidate he has chosen has a TON of injectable experience. I know her. She was placed in the Maintena position last October. I'm not saying she is a bad rep. What I am saying is that the other 4 candidates that interviewed with this manager were not asked 1 single question in 2 hous of him rambling on. It was the weirdest "interview" ever!! On top of hat, he has been out of the industry for a number of years with little CNS experience which only leads me to think hiring decisions he made were to compensate for his lack there of. To top it off, he never had the decency to call me and let me know eithe way until prompted by his boss. Complete unprofessionalism after he told me repeatedly at the panel that he would call me. He told me to hang tight until the next drug got approved and Alkemes would scoop me up. I know sir that you left such a God Awful aste in my mouth about Alkemes that even though I like some of the employees I would not work for Alkermes based on this process experienced with you alone. I'm glad I'm blessed where I'm at bc I did not have to land this opportunity!

We come here to bitch bc we'd like to be treated with respect when we take days of vacation to go interview and to top it off they never even let you know you weren't chosen afterwards.

Did you forget that you had already said "hope that helps" once? Or are you just really excited to use that tired ass 4th grade cafepharma cutdown? I did not get an offer, was strung along for quite sometime, and am a little bummed. But business is business. One thing I am happy about is I can be done with this board after weeks of patrolling it, trying to glean the slightest scrap of information that might be valid. Where every third post sarcastically says "hope that helps" Every time I see it I get embarrassed for the person that wrote it. You can come on here and be a dickhead all day, but come up with something more original.

We have all seen the hiring managers play their games. Most of them had their hires in mind before the interviewing started. The experienced LAI reps were filler for the reps they wanted or they were never given face to face interviews because it would fuck up their hiring those who were mediocre that they took care of. I know several that were trouble here and it's good riddance to bad rubbish. Big money doesn't buy the best reps it just allows managers to throw a companies money around. Ask all those at Cubist who left to go to the Medicines company for 145k and up salaries, stock, bonus etc. Medicines just laid off Thirty percent of the sales force 8 months after launch. Drug didn't sell and they got fucked. Left a good job for more money and 8 months later unemployed. Now the others are worried about when they will get whacked.

Totally agree. I had exact experience in another state. DM was brand new and clueless. I was initially bummed, however, also felt all along that the process was insulting....this probably showed. I know some great people they scooped up, but also some really shitty ones. I would have been pleased and taken an offer if it included a significant increase and sign on to include down payment for a car, but from what I've heard, increases have been modest. I too didn't need this gig. In fact, made me appreciate the one I have all the more.
