Welcome to Medtronic

I hope Omar and the MDT sr execs are reading posts in this forum and give some serious thought to bringing people into the fold who have been accused of some very shady activities here. Why risk it?

Interested outsider here. What's the latest scuttlebutt on the acquisition (not merger) by Medtronic? How's management spinning it? What divisions/jobs will be the first to go?

What are you people smoking? If you know of unethical behavior, report it.

Utter waste of time and puts a target on your back. Ombudsman function is irreparably broken. Gives company excuse to hide problems and avoid taking action that may be legally required under the umbrella of privilege and 3rd party law firm. Someone cited in another earlier RMS head of med affairs violated AKS with an investigator sponsored study, he's now CMO. Guess every bad deed that produces results goes unpunished. I think if the DOJ starts pulling on fraud strings with the ombudsman, the discoveries will be appalling.

Very true.. Clearly remember someone reporting several things that were serious violations... Got swept under the rug and that person was railroaded out of town..

Question regarding ex-COV employees now currently working at MDT.

1) After the merger and absorption will they have their seniority from their COV yrs. restored and added to their MDT pool? Nothing like an extra week or more of vacation, etc. What is the likelihood? Some companies in similar situations have done this yet some have not.

2) Employee HR files - For those who were fired/forced out of COV will the negative HR paper trail be "merged" in with their file/records at MDT after the merger and absorption?

For those ex-COV employees now currently working at MDT do they view this merger as curse, blessing, or mixed bag?

Thoughts, comments, feedback.

Check back in February...after the merger.

Even those currently being spoken with by the DOJ after being subpoenaed?

Anyone else find it interesting that P. Wehrly ran sales and was president of Medtronic Sofamor Danek during the whole InFuse DOJ, Congressional or Senate Subcommittee investigations for off label sales, fraud, patient injury etc AND the company paid a $1.35 billion patent infringement settlement to its inventor Dr Michelson? Pete was terminated but he didn't do anything wrong.

Isn't it odd that Covidien Vascular, which he ran, may have a DOJ investigation for offlabel sales and fraud (if the subpoenas are flying) AND RMS had issues (fraud, offlabel sales) during his tenure if true? Coinkydink?

Can leadership blame reps given the history when there appears to be a pattern of behavior? Bad luck or timing makes sense maybe once right? Notice how he started hopping around at an unheard of pace even for sr leadership? Save your documentation. Shit rolls downhill.

Why the fuck is this guy getting a $10MM golden parachute if he can't keep the organizations under him between the lines? DOJ should take away his parachute, classic cars and $3MM house in Niwot, sell them and give the proceeds to people affected by his actions or lack of. Didn't govt get some of Kenneth lays assets?

This shit was straight from RM AVP levels on up.... Once the DOJ gets done digging around, people like S. Coleman and D. Clark and M. Andrew may not be loving life much...
