Welcome to JnJ

This makes no sense all the openings for ITCI and j&J having their own psych division. ITCI already has too many reps... no way all these jobs at ITCI stay....major reorg/layoffs are imminent....

JJ didn’t buy ITCI to just lay everyone off. Why spend all the time and money setting up a sales force (hiring, training, etc) when the company you’re buying is already doing that. Besides, J&J needs someone to promote CAPLYTA so they make their investment work.

Companies do this all the time in M&A agreements. Human capital is a pittance in this deal. A negligible line item. JnJ want the compound and pipeline. There is no physical HQ campus no R and D or manufacturing infrastructure. ITCI rents office space and licenses out everything else. The only thing of value is intellectual property. They have all the reps they need. Wise up. Cash your check and find another startup. Maybe strike gold again.

Jnj cns is in the middle of a launch, itci is about to launch an indication with a 15 billion dollar investment behind it. Y'all are seriously retarded if you think they'll be a layoff anytime soon.

All you Smooth brained sales reps with your irrational fear of getting laid off, please, do the rest of us a favor and leave.
Douchebag. Nothing irrational about it. Half the sales force didn’t launch this drug. They aren’t getting the big payout. They need jobs. It’s natural to be concerned.

Brush up on your history. Y’all are seriously naive if you think they will keep all the NSSs when they already have 2 psych reps in every territory calling on the same targets we have. I wish it were the case but I highly doubt it having been through a few acquisitions.

There's zero percent chance jnj is going to lay off any reps before or during the launch of MDD. sure they may eventually layoff some people but not in the near future.

You don't invest 15 billy in a drug and then try and cut corners. Mdd will get the full big pharma push, no expense will be spared. Thinking jnj is going to pull their own reps (who are launching a new indication themselves) to train them on caplyta so they can layoff our NSS team is the only thing I've read that's naive.

Reps are probably the most secure in this acquisition. J&J needs someone to promote CAP to customers. This is a close to waving a magic wand and poof, here’s a sales team.

If I’m a home office employee, I’d start getting nervous. Roles like Ops, Finance, HR, and training are a bit redundant. This will likely be absorbed into J&J.

Zero percent? I’ll take that bet.

Cap will be sold by JnJs schizophrenia team which already carries Invega in its bag, the other indications by the Spravato team. We have another molecule for launch in 2026. They may keep some of you but not many. Managers, no.... Home office....nope.
Good luck. It's the nature of the beast....

Most correct take yet. Revisit how these deals have gone historically in other mergers. And BTW this isn’t even a merger, it’s a takeover. PCP reps are probably safest. Those newly minted directors and managers? Gone. The brand team might survive. JnJ will cut the do nothing dead weight in ops, HR and training.
