Welcome to JnJ

who gonna sell the drug if it’s mass layoffs ? I see they’re posting new positions Wednesday … look as if J&J is taking the easy route .. ITCI do the hiring and we’ll manage them once you put them in place

I agree. That was probably a condition of the sale. Build out the field infrastructure and get the lawsuit shut down before the deal can close. But JnJ has a psych and neuro team. They have a psych bag. Adding Caplyta isn’t a big stretch.

True but they don’t have a psych primary care CNS team

I agree. That was my point. Build out the PCP team and give Caplyta to the existing JnJ neuroscience team and the new ITCI PCP team. Makes sense. All of us originals got paid so whatever happens is fine by me. I feel bad for the new people who just came here. They don't have the equity and they probably left good jobs.

All ITCI infrastructure and headcount is redundant, they don’t need it, just access to IP. Cash out and move on, you have a runway till deal closes and all equity accelerates. Cash out rinse and repeat.

Exactly. Janssen Neuropsych has 400+ reps calling on Psychiatrists. They are not absorbing another 500+ NSS/NSS/ISS, just the 150+ PCR new hires. A Psychiatry sales force headcount of 900+? Get real. Almost half of our org is not legacy though natural attrition, PIPs and expansion roles. For those better find a new role before the 3 months is over and you are caught holding a bag, just don’t resign to collect a package and hope Sharon negotiated well for everyone being displaced

NSS will be displaced. Bet on that. They will keep the PCP team. Sorry for all of you who left something to come here because you aren't taking part in the big payday. Thats always the risk when equity is involved. And don't count on Sharon negotiating anything decent for severance. Regina runs HR. If you're lucky, you'll get two weeks for each year of service and any unpaid vacation time plus 30 days of health insurance. At least we got to kick off the new DEI initiatives before they turn out the lights.

Yes. Find a new role now. You don't want to be competing for jobs when everyone gets cut en masse.
