We talk a good game, but....

The situation above is about a rep who reported a call and a lunch on a doctor. Unfortunately, the doctor died a week before. Of course some reps have better access than others however in this situation I, as the DM went to the office to check out the situation....before the rep got canned.

I thought I was the only one who felt like this!? There was so much concern about them doing the right thing for us and then light switch went off and it was over! Back to business as usual and questioning us on why more offices aren’t open? I get we are a business and am appreciative, but I can’t control that most of my customers are in hospitals as they are specialists and they are locked up to Reps! The oncology reps are still sitting nicely at home with pretty much no pressure and HQ people are still working from home. Lighten up AZ..it’s pretty awful in the field. I can’t make offices magically open...we are in a pandemic and they have more important things to worry about than my 10 year old messaging

I feel like we are the Israelite slaves in the Ten Commandments (Charlton Heston movie for the youngins), while HQ and Onc are in a different class. And our messaging... Admittedly the best in awhile. My concern is how they will F up Breztri and tell us how it resonated with doctors so well. Anyway, HQ...cant get blood from a stone or do you want us to lie on that too?
 




I'm curious to know what my fellow AZ representatives think about the pressure to get into as many Drs offices as we can. One minute they're faking concern about our well being, the next we're getting pressure to drive interaction metrics.

My husband is an AZ sales guy. Last night he asked me to look at this post b/c we discussed his belief AZ SAYS they are concern about safety when actually all they care about is making $$$$!! After that he showed me a video of his “big boss” Bob Gilot talking the need to do whatever it takes to make sales. Including not asking how doctors offices are doing but focusing on how to get in to see them no matter what. His boss even said they just show up & meet them in the hall or back door. Arent these docs seeing COVID-19? We are both so upset we wonder if pharmaceutical is the right place for him. So upset here.

then he should quit. WTF? Let’s all get paid for sitting on our asses! Bernie’s world.
 




They should have one physical rep covering multiple geographies, on call for those one-off in person meetings IF the prescriber requests a visit. Everything else should virtual, with email and faxes to request samples. Done!!
 




Let's face it...Some of us are having moderate success back in the field with Face to Face calls. I am one of them...but keep in mind when I say moderate success that I'm seeing 3 to 4 MDs a day and dropping off virtual program invites the rest of the day...Most reps I know are seeing maybe half that. It should be getting better by now and it would have if Covid had died down but it wont go away...so we are in this limbo probably through the new year...Who knows what tragedies will strike if the T man stays in office...If B gets in something tells me the world will magically be doing pretty well by mid November.
