Let's get one thing straight, Murtagh dictates terms, not the other way around. This thing turned into a bidding war with BSX and MDT also in play. Ultimately, the Fireman had to get involved and he ponied up some big numbers.
 


















This Murtagh Mania rivals the craze that was the Beatles hitting US soil. Is it a little overblown? Maybe, However as in many cases I feel as if society demands I make a decision on this matter before the proper amount of time has passed, lets call it a vetting period. Forced to make a decision I have to say he has been a success so far and warrants the attention he is getting. There will always be detractors in business and life but AM has shown the rare ability to rise above the masses in an almost trumpesque fashion.
 






As a former competitor of Andrew's I breathed a huge sigh of relief when he went over to run Merit Medical. I'm obviously very concerned that he is now with SJM. This is one of the few people in the industry that can stand toe to toe with big blue. He's a cunning and strategic thinker; you may think your playing checkers but he's playing Chess.
